Sharing Economy Audience Study

At the beginning of last year the World Economic Forum published an article detailing the ways the sharing economy will continue developing in the future. Their research indicates that projects centered around collaborative consumption or collective access to goods are growing at an unprecedented rate, and have become so significant that there is no longer any real reason to classify them as separate from the rest of the economy.

Typical users of sharing economy services according to a PwC study of the US market are women, ages 18-24 from medium-low income households with children.

According to WEF, women play an important role in moving the sharing economy forward. They tend to be involved in society and are more interested in collaborative consumption solutions in general.
