I have mine unconfirmed for 2 days by now...would blockchain reverse it if it does not get thru in a particular time frame?

Or it will be kept there forever ....

I have been using blockchain alright, but for the past two days, I have had at least 2 unconfirmed transaction out of 5 even after 24 hours.
Is it the problem with the network, or is it the problem with blockchain itself?

I am having the same problem too.

Yesterday I was doing some "banking," moving around a lot of coins over several transactions using the blockchain.info iPhone app.  Except for two transactions, all were included immediately in the next block that was found.

The two "stragglers" that weren't immediately confirmed, both had zero fees (I guess because no fee was technically required?).  Both were transactions for more than 1 BTC.  The first straggler was confirmed 4 hours later while the second has been unconfirmed for almost 24 hours now.  I should also note that I have my "fee setting" to generous

To avoid frightening new users (if I was new, this would have spooked me), and to avoid causing old users unnecessary delays, it should be possible to set up the wallet so that a fee is always included, even when not required.  I would glady spend a small amount of pocket change if it saved me from checking the app every few hours wondering if the no-fee transaction will ever be confirmed.

The transaction will eventually be processed. The priority of a transaction goes up with time.

The fee does not need to be very high, but the higher it is the higher the incentive for a miner to include the transaction. My guess is that miners only delay transactions without a fee. Currently, the minimum fee noted in the wiki is 0.0001. That is a reference value and typically changes with exchange rate. Ultimately, it is up to the miner to decide what to include.

I used to choose the default settings of blockchain...
I will start to choose the generous option if that helps.

Then what should I do now with the stuck transaction?

Did you include a fee with the transaction?

Miners may choose to ignore the transaction if there is no fee attached. To my understanding, a small fee of 0.0001 will do.
