Ako boss julerz nag switch na sa Unionbank for like 4-5 months na yata.
Nagsimula ito ng nagkakaproblema ako sa Gcash which is madalas na mangyari.
i.e. Maintenance na walang sabi, ipit sa pagbayad thru QRcode or even card swipe, biglang di makawithdraw.

Hangang ngayon never ako nagkaproblema sa cash out thru Unionbank.

I've heard about this online applications ng mga banko before pero medyo skeptical pako mag-apply 'til now 'cause as far as I know, banks requires KYC diba? papaano process nun if online yung application?

Nag-apply ako ng Unionbank account online a few months back. Nakaka-impress yong investments nila sa mga technologies to make an online application smooth.

If my memory serves me right, ito ung time in 2017 na may news and incidents about certain banks closing accounts na may crypto-related transactions, and ung top suggestion ng karamihan e UnionBank talaga.
I don't know kung totoo yan dahil never ko namang na experience yan, I use different banks, I have BPI and China Bank, majority of the transactions are crypto or from coins.ph to my bank account, wala naman akong naging problema.

Really haven't tried this bank but maybe in the future (matapos lang pandemic or something)or if ever my current alternative way ng pag cashout/in ko sobrang hassle na. Still sticking sa coins.ph to gcash or to money remittances pero still reliable naman, if ever na si coins.ph magkaroon ng partnership better na remittances kasi hindi talaga hassle for most crypto users. So far I've just tried RCBC pero one thing na napansin ko bago ma credit yung transaction na pinunta mo sa atm card mo it takes 4 days I think bago mag appear, I don't know sa UB. Who else here know other crypto friendly banks aside UB?

Ako hindi ko pa na try mag cash out using unionbank, noong available pa ang service ni security bank sa coins.ph doon ako lagi ng cacash out. Siguro naman lahat tayo alam yung way ng pag cashout sa security bank ( the 16 digit code, if I'm not mistaken ) pero kase kung usapang convenience, wala na sigurong mas tatalo sa pag gamit ng mga digital money processors like paymaya or Gcash especially when you have their mastercard, sobrang dali na lang mag cashout any time pwede kang mag cash out sa mga atm.

Kung yung tinutukoy mo is yung cardless cash-out method through Security Bank ATMs I think mas ok yung Instapay enabled Banks ng Coins.ph. I have a fair share of problems regarding my cash out using Security Bank may mga times na hindi ko natatanggap yung PIN ko or hindi tinatanggap ng ATM yung binigay na PIN sakin at yung pinakamalala ko is yung instance na after 2 days ko pa natanggap yung text message ko for my PIN (this happened in a weekday), if you are looking for instant or emergency cash I'm afraid cash outs through Security Bank's cardless withdrawal isn't that reliable, may mga times din kasi na offline yung method na ito. What I would recommend though is yung Instapay enabled banks ng Coins.ph, although required ka magkaroon ng bank account dun at may kaunting fee you will still receive your cash out in an instant at anytime of the day. Aside sa UnionBank meron din sila for EastWest Bank, PNB, Metrobank and many others.

Pero syempre you need to choose the best wallet or bank kasi para hindi ka mascam or mahack, you need to be smart in terms of storing your electronic money.

Tipong parehas mong masasabi na wala silang alam or alam nila o narinig nila pero negatibo ang narinig at mag-e-effort ka na magexplain sa kanila in order for them to change their minds. Well, sana nga sa pagsimula ng recognition from Unionbank ang tutulong para mabago ang isip ng mga tao pagdating sa ganito.

Maganda talaga ang unionbank dahil open market sila di kagaya ng ibang bank na restricted ang mga 3rd party payment system like cryptocurrency, kaya nga malaki tiawala ko sa union, since the old days of Paypal, Payza, Perfectmoney etc. Gamit ko na yang si unionbank.

Sa tingin ko madami pa din meroong misconception about this one being related to crypto since after my post nakita ko na madami pa din na nag-assume na Coins.ph to Remittance center pa din yung transaction using crypto pero malinaw naman sa FAQs nila na payment gateway lang ang Coins.ph dito para sa Palawan Express. I don't know why they specifically used Coins.ph para sa pagiging channel nila dito for Palawan Express only at hindi nalang DragonPay para sa lahat pero sa tingin ko it has something to do about Coins.ph having a share since kilalang partner sila ng UnionBank.

Is this post or pre Covid? Kasi as far as I know skeleton crew parin ata ang mga banko ngayon kaya ito siguro rason kung bakit matagal magreply.

I've heard about this online applications ng mga banko before pero medyo skeptical pako mag-apply 'til now 'cause as far as I know, banks requires KYC diba?

papaano process nun if online yung application?

Please see link below, dyan ako nag-apply. Filling up the form lang ginawa ko.

Na-discuss na rin to dati rito, please see link below for more info.

Also, anybody here actually tried using UnionBank?

Since from all other banks we have here in the Philippines, parang sila yung pinaka open-minded when it comes to blockchain tech and cryptocurrencies; safe kaya funds natin sa kanila?
I'm asking this too because I've already read several complaints about those "other banks" na bigla-bigla na 'lang isinasara yung accounts dahil kuno may connection sa "cryptocurrencies".  Roll Eyes

I did use unionbank sa money transfer from coins.ph to bank. Though I have not tried using Unionbank to remittance centers kasi meron na namang coins.ph function na ganyan parang dagdag trabaho pa kung papadaainin sa Unionbank..
