Intro


Among being called the “Ultimate Miner's Coin” because UIS can be mined by anyone regardless of the type of hardware they have (CPU/GPU/ASIC) via 5 independent algorithms, this is also very much a community coin. There was never any ICO, premine or developer tax. Extremely fair distribution.

We don't care where you are from, what the color of your skin is, or what your religion is! We are all humans that deserve equality and financial freedom!


A lot of good things have been happening recently for Unitus. In this update, I will break everything down; Development, Mining, Exchanges, Marketing, Giveaways, Community. 1st and foremost, though. Let's start with the team!

Meet the Team!


We have always had a team, but it was never really organized with specified roles besides a few. Moreover, the team has mostly been centered around development and not much has went into marketing or spreading awareness. Well, we have been trying to change that and balance things out. Now most of us have been assigned roles to complete specified tasks. There are still a few members on the team we trying to assign roles to. We are also looking for talented, individuals who are dedicated and passionate about the project to help out.

Proof of Stake

PoS implementation is in process and is on pace to be done by our mid 2018 date. With PoS, investors will earn UIS just by holding it in their wallet. Similar to interest.

We have ramped up our marketing efforts recently and have been seeing success. In an effort to create more awareness for the project, we have been holding multiple giveaways which have been rewarding community members for their help and feedback. Mainly due to the recent marketing efforts and giveaways, the Unitus community has been growing very strong recently. The twitter account has been blowing up non stop with now 2510 followers! There is actually a strong and friendly $UIS community beginning to form there. We also already have almost 250 people in our brand new discord server which is not even 2 weeks old. Our reddit has also been growing pretty nicely with over 200 subscribers. That has been a weak point we are trying to build. Overall, there has been a ton of activity going on within the community. How often do the AUR coins get converted and paid out from mining on the Unitus Mining Pool?  I got paid out 60+ coins after about 7 hours of mining, but nothing after another 24 hours.  At least 8 blocks were worked during that time that I saw, probably more like 10 or 12 blocks.

Will there be any features added to Unitus in 2018 apart from the POW/POS? I know some people are comparing Unitus to vert and via but they have quite alot of dev work going on with features like segwit, styx, and more.

There is no max. However, most of the coins will be mined by block 3,933,199 (~June 2022). By then, approximately 100 million coins will have been mined. There are also 17 million UIS that have been burnt and if it stays like that, there will be ~83 million UIS in circulation by then.

For reference - the current block reward is 29 UIS, and it decays by a compounding 1% every 7 days until it reaches 2 UIS. Once it hits 2 UIS, it will stay like that forever.

We do not want a max supply. We want Unitus to resemble the natural decline of a valuable resource.

Think of precious metals like Gold, Silver, Palladium, Rhodium and Platinum. People have/will mine the crap out of them, but their resources will never be 100% depleted. There will always be an ore here and an ore there that contains a small amount.

Sorry if i missed this somewhere but can anyone tell me what the total coin supply is or is it unlimited supply?
