agree.
solid support is best to park in the 0045s-005s range and can take its turtle time before posting in that range.
can reframe to around $ 2.00ish vs. btc target.  also $ 450k-ish

rabbits can push ahead see what happens; there looks to be a historical level of resistance around 0065s.
after that range is established there might be a rapid tendency to push all the way up or at least hit 01s.
think & act according to 1yr chart, not 30day, and we'll have 5-6 months in the green bars before the next down phase  Wink

Uno has had a good run the past 30 days.

I hope we'll see some consolidation in the 005's before it takes off again.   Maybe if UNO parks in the 005s, we'll see more coins come out, since there seems to be a small bit of resistance here, though very little on the books.   Someone flashed a 300 un wall earlier today.
I wouldn't mind having a few weeks to get a few more at this level.

The Cryptsy dumping was an historic event. Congrats to you guys who bought Uno in the 002's and 003's during the panic to get out of Cryptsy.

It took a little longer than we thought it would, but it was inevitable.
Zelig saw it coming a year ago. Grin  He has xray vision.

I say brace yourselves.  I'm expecting Paycoin to go whizzing by us on it's way down any day or minute.  It should be spectacular, but don't look directly into the flash.

@geopayme I tried Uberpay yesterday and was able to transfer UNO in and out.

I also sent MYR and BLK, but neither of those coins arrived in the uberpay wallet.

From where did you send the coins, exchange? or other wallet? can you send the tx you created to [email protected]
Ok, its all arrived now. Sorry, the problem was on my end. All is well. Smiley

I opened Google Play Store and installed UberPay on my tablet, selected a few wallets and transferred 1 kg of Uno. Worked just fine!

It's a nice addition to UNO's Android wallet lineup.

The UNO cryptocompare page could use many corrections. It would be cool if somebody e-mailed them about it, if not I'll do it when I have time.

All is work in progress... the more participation the better information can be provided. Don't forget to leave a review for UberPay...

I like to invite people to visit and write a review for UberPay, since its inclusion in the cryptocompare site
an effort has been made to make available all the coin stats from coins that exist in the UberPay wallet. Please share with the Unobtanium Community

Yes, our base hashrate dropped by more than 60%  Undecided

We need to maintain a selection of reliable pools. Whatever reason they had for dropping us we need to make sure that it doesn't continue to be a problem in the future.

Just pointed my measly Genesis mining at UNO ~ all 0.203 TH/s.

I'm glad you still have your hash. Every bit helps.

Genesis took my hash. I logged in one day and it was gone. When I messaged Genesis-Mining support, they basically said, "Oh, your 'lifetime' hash was not profitable, so we stole it from you.  Read the fine print in our TOS. It says we don't have to warn you about it or anything if our secret math says its not profitable to us. We can just take it back from you. By the way, you're welcome to buy more 'lifetime' hash from us.  Have a nice day."

I was super disappointed in them since this was a company I once respected.

Great News!
Unobtanium has joined the UberPay Family of Altcoins!

A new UberPay wallet will be released on March 2, 2016!

UberPay Multicoin Wallet is available on Google Play

This looks cool, I guess. Today is the day. Has anyone tried it yet?

This particular wallet takes advantage of the availability of electrum servers. If you would like to support the electrum network and if you have a static IP and full node please consider running an electrum server and having it join irc ##electrum-uno

https://github.com/cryptapus/electrum-server-uno

Overhead is very light once the database is synced.

Its nice to see the price appreciating.
The dumping of Uno from Cryptsy escapees put serious downward pressure on the market.  This is exactly what I had expected to see after the dumping ended.
So far, no serious sell pressure.  Still very little UNO for sale anywhere.

The rise has been happening for a month, since the dumping dried up.  You just can't purchase very much Uno right now without lifting the market. I don't blame Nat and others for trying to score some in the 004's.

We're the top volume BTC market on Cryptopia today! I did my part by purchasing ~$100 of UNO but there are still a few asks below what it is going for on Bittrex, FYI.

I agree. I can see some of the points against MM I guess, but I don't think that UNO would be better off without it. Even as it is UNO is still way more secure now than it would be if it wasn't merge mined.

In both cases it is theoretically vulnerable to attack by a large BTC mining operator, but the required hashrate for such an attack is still considerably higher with MM than without it, which leaves a lot fewer candidates. If there is something we can do to make UNO's MM code more robust that would rock, but to do that we'd need to get to the source of the problem first. Meanwhile the market is working on making itself more attractive again, maybe we can revisit that f2pool connection in a few weeks/months time? Wink

Anyone can still solo mine UNO. That has never changed.

Assuming you mean mine only Unobtanium (rather than merge mining it with Bitcoin) then you are right, but I would bet hardly anyone does any more.  It would be much the same as throwing your money away.

Which basically encapsulates my concern about merge mining - UNO mining is now basically tied to Bitcoin, and if there is an issue (as per a few posts up) pools will drop UNO from merge mining, not BTC.

UNO has always been tied to bitcoin. Every Sha256 coin is tied to bitcoin because they are in competition for the hash.  Miners will mine the most profitable coin, whether Bitcoin or something else.   The nice thing about merge mining is that bitcoin mining (and by default UNO mining) becomes even more profitable. Merge mining is good for miners. Its good for Bitcoin. Good for all Sha256 coins. Good for Bitmain.

Well, I think we will have to agree to disagree on this point.

My concern with merge mining is:

1. it drives the difficulty sky high
2. the high difficulty means the only practical way to mine is merge mining
3. because the vast majority of miners are merge mining, their primary interest is Bitcoin and not UNO (or indeed any other MM coin)

those three points together lead to two consequences:

A. in the event of an issue with merge mining, the miners/pools will drop UNO (as we have seen)

and

B. because the merge mined coins are effectively "free" they can and will be sold at very low values

I hear what you're saying, and I appreciate the respectful discussion.
I guess I'd rather have a few guys mining it at high hash than a few guys mining it a low hash.

There are consequences either way. Given UNO's low inflation, I believe the right choice was made to secure the chain.
I guess we'll see longer term if it was a good idea or not.

I certainly wouldn't introduce any sort of PoS mechanism.  How could you without increasing the total coin cap?

You'd reduce every level of PoW rewards by 10-50% then allocate that directly toward PoS rewards. But I'm not advocating that, just tossing ideas into the discussion.

But the PoW rewards are reducing towards zero - at some point you run out of PoW rewards to re-allocate.  In fact I don't think there are sufficient PoW rewards today to turn into PoS. Just can't see it working.
