5 UNO bounty to solve this Mac problem. I have 25 UNO sitting on the blockchain that I can not access due to the fork. I am trying to get the Mac 0.10 client to run but I get the same message everytime. I have tried all sort but I think it may be due to the fact that I have Macports installed. If anyone can help me to get the wallet up and running I'll give you 5 UNO out of the 25 UNO. Please.

I just got time to repackage the build with all of the deps, tested on machine without boost library installed.

I will post the link to the fixed wallet as soon as the upload is completed.

Cheers!

EDIT: here's the download link http://wikisend.com/download/305390/Unobtanium-Qt.zip

MD5 : 8bda96f0c9b48efef750a95452b69131

Let me know if there is anymore problem running it on your machine.

Nice to see the price of our favourite alt bubbling up a bit!  Cool

EDIT:

Did anybody see this:

http://www.businessinsider.com/hayek-cryptocurrency-backed-by-gold-2015-5

" a more secure store of value than Bitcoin"

Does the author mean 'secure' or stable? I always start my analysis with the history of bullion ETFs. It's an open secret, B.C., that only a fraction of the 'gold' and 'silver' that's been sold is actually in the vaults. http://nsnbc.me/2013/04/18/federal-reserve-refuses-to-submit-to-an-audit-of-germanys-gold-held-in-u-s-vaults-2/ -- etc. etc. etc.

That is, that these ETFs and bullion-backed cryptos have exactly the same nature as the collapsing fractional-reserve banking system.

If it were all as simple as 'Our accountant has the bullion in his safe,' then Distributed-Vault Coin would have no point.

A Wound in Eternity
Well, I figured this out, @loader_path does not point to where I have my dylib libraries. I have Macports and so my libraries are at /macports/local/lib/libboost_system-mt.dylib. I guess that the function @loader_path does not take into account Macports as the libraries would be in a different location if it was a "clean" OSX install...

So how to add / link .../macports/local/lib/libboost_system-mt.dylib to @loader_path ??

I had to do this during configuration by adding the --with-boost=/usr/include/boost flag. No idea where this is located in your file structure though :/

I am not sure I get what you mean, during configuration of what? set the flag where?

To the victor patient the spoils.

Uno is a penny cheaper on Cryptopia at this second.

[Dang, this Hoovering is fun! No money in it yet -- but I get to buy and sell Uno all day long!]

mmmm . . . 'dust'!

Welcome, ThePhwner!

Woo hoo! We da Featured Currency on Cryptopia.

Mark (IndiaMikeZulu), Australia

By that standard, 42 coin is a "dust" coin. And it still trades @ 3.80 BTC on cryptsy.

UNO is rare, so expect that dust to increase in value.
LOL. Blazr2's 23Skidoo hit 450 BTC just the other day on Cryptopia.

I'm a little sad, though, because I get the point. Just a week ago or so I was able to assemble a entire Uno after a week or so of mining. But now, at these hash rates, it will take me 120 days to earn one Uno. I am better off to merge mine all of these coins (including Bitcoin), sell them of and buy Uno (which is my plan). I'll keep my Uno dust, but will gladly sell my nmc/dvc/i0c dust to people who value those coins.
Ladies and Gentlemen,

Mr. Market is no fool, and these basic fundamentals have kicked in for miners another recent halving, no-brainer merge mining, high hash, low block reward. In my opinion, the ability to buy $UNO off the exchanges will also soon be just dust as the exchange prices will rise to reflect increased demand and decreased supply...it's basic supply and demand. People are beginning to notice our little blue gem...

It's all for the good of Uno, though. Merge mining made sense because the decreasing block rewards lowered Uno's hash rate. Usually the most profitable sha256 coin to mine is Bitcoin.  Now Uno is a top contributing coin in Bitcoin merged mining, and our hash is over 1 phs, and I presume will go higher.  Bitcoin miners earn more with Uno merge mining, and this reinforces a higher network hash rate and makes Uno, Bitcoin, Ixc, I0C, Nmc, all more secure.  Even if I am sad that I can't earn Uno by mining as easily  as I used to, merge mining clearly makes a lot of sense for Uno.

So yeah, buying Uno is the best way to get it now.

So is there any place to mine UNO now or mine and get paid in UNO? The only things I've found are the Jumbuck cooperative pool, with no stats and 5% fees, and Xpool.ca, which is merge mining it, but not paying it out. I supposed I could just buy some but up until a couple days ago I was happily mining UNO. Mintsy's pool is still up but who knows what good that is going; the Multipool.us port appears inactive... is UNO just going to be some dust coin that pools give out to justify fees?

Look into mmpool.org.  It's easy to see what you've earned in Uno/Btc/Dvc/etc.
Ispace.co.uk is also merge mining Uno.

Jumbucks switches between the most profitable coins, sells those coins on the market, then buys Uno from the market and pays you. It's a nice option, but because of the conversions involved, their fees are higher.

About Uno being a dust coin.... I guess it is, given the high difficulty now and the reward schedule... my mining now only produces dust, compared to a week ago. But not all dust is worthless (Gold dust, for example).

Uno is valuable, and sought after. I'm also buying it off of exchanges. Since we hit block 600k and the reward dropped and merged mining kicked in, I've been buying 7.5 Uno per day from exchanges, which is the total daily inflation.  Uno is rare. It's not behaving any differently than we knew it would. So I suppose it is a dust coin now, and we knew it would be a dust coin eventually, but I don't see that in a bad way.

On mmpool, so far I've earned .01 Uno, .05 NMC, 130 DVC and .021 I0C. For fun, I just priced my dust holdings on exchanges:

My Uno is worth 12390 sats. My NMC is worth 130063 sats. My devcoin is worth only 520 sats.  My I0C is 4316 sats.

At the moment on Mmpool, Uno is less profitable than NMC but more profitable than DVC and I0C.   And IXC?  They pay NO rewards any more. They are completely mined out, giving miners no reward at all.... whereas Uno will pay miners from the remaining 55,000 Uno that will be mined over the next 300 years.

Uno's price is cheap right now, imo. As anti-gravity kicks it, I predict it will become the most profitable altcoin in merge mining.

I think Uno certainly makes good sense for merge pools to add.  It makes bitcoin mining more profitable. If the miners don't want their Uno, fine... sell it me. I'll buy their dust.

Wait... but I thought Macs "Just work?" How can this be possible?

Wait... Someone deliberately misunderstanding a 15 year old slogan from Apple as if it ever meant "it's infallible?" How can this be possible?   Roll Eyes
Talk about infallible, I still haven't given up trying to get the wallet working on my TRS-80!  Tongue

LOL I had one of those as a child. Cross-compile for Microsoft Extended Color Basic anyone?

Well, I figured this out, @loader_path does not point to where I have my dylib libraries. I have Macports and so my libraries are at /macports/local/lib/libboost_system-mt.dylib. I guess that the function @loader_path does not take into account Macports as the libraries would be in a different location if it was a "clean" OSX install...

So how to add / link .../macports/local/lib/libboost_system-mt.dylib to @loader_path ??

I had to do this during configuration by adding the --with-boost=/usr/include/boost flag. No idea where this is located in your file structure though :/
