Any news about trc20 support on exodus?

Well, in addition to what is officially stated on the exodus support page https://support.exodus.com/article/1452-tron-coin-faqs-learn-more-about-trx , I think nothing has changed yet, there was no other news from exodus on TRC20 support, here is their response to Twitter about TRC20 "Although TRC20 tokens could indeed be stored at your Exodus TRX address, I would personally not advise it as exporting your private keys and using a supported wallet would be required to access these tokens."  https://twitter.com/exodus_io/status/1040629135998156800

-snip-

It appears that they don't have any plans (for now) to do that: https://www.reddit.com/r/ExodusWallet/comments/ki02vv/usdt_tron_when/

Obviously, you can still store any token in your Tron address but you'll need to export the private key and import it to another wallet in order to spend the funds afterward.

Eden is an unsupported pre-release beta version for testing purposes only.
It is no longer readily available to the general public and only for those who have been invited to be beta testers.
Things will break frequently in Eden and people should use the supported main version of Exodus.
This article's information is out of date and should be ignored.

seed.seco

I replaced this files in exodus exodus.wallet and run on my current pc. Version 19.1.5
Exodus  started without errors but not loading wallets. On Ethereum wallet i see rotating icon, click him and see popup "Ethereum is currently being refreshed". This has been going on for 24 hours.
Commands on Developer menu not works.

How i can get private keys from my wallet without sync Exodus?

Hey care2yak, This is Kris from Exodus,  you're correct that this forum is not heavily used by Exodus users. This is more than likely because we have 24/7 support and our users can reach us directly through our Slack, Email, twitter etc.  You can reach us here to but it just might not be immediate.

We're aware of the exploits and we've done a full audit of the codebase. None of the exploited code described in the article is used by Exodus. If there was an issue we would have been the first to let people know and issue a patched version for the safety of your assets. I'm around if you have any other questions.

i suppose not so many exodus users know about this thread... it's just a thought. anyway wanted to ask, what language is exodus coded in? i'm sorry, i'm not a technical person so please excuse the way i structure this.

i just asked because i just read in one of the topics here that there's a hacker using javascript to steal from wallets - https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/11/26/npm_repo_bitcoin_stealer/ - so thought about exodus. how safe is it? thanks.

I have (maybe a silly) question. I had Exodus installed in my old laptop then bought a new one and recovered my wallet there. At this stage I use the Exodus wallet on my new laptop without any issues but it's still installed and runs on the old one. I'm planning on formating my old laptop (/uninstalling Exodus wallet). Will there be any issues with that?

Thank you in advance  Smiley

No, there will be no issues.

Appreciate the reply, OmegaStarScream. Exported and found an appropriate  wallet. Thanks again.

Anyway, is shapeshift still the exchange partner of exodus? Because Erik Voorhees has just announced a switch to an account-based platform, calls it shapeshift membership (https://info.shapeshift.io/blog/2018/09/04/introducing-shapeshift-membership/)

Says membership is optional but still curious if it will stay that way. Also, wondering how Exodus users can benefit from the loyalty program and other features that shapeshift has in store if shapeshift is used from within exodus -- if shapeshift remains as exodus' exchange partner?

Or will exodus have a standalone exchange since shapeshift will soon be moving towards (?) mandatory membership (?)

Cheers.

Hey there.

This is Michalis from Exodus support.

Thank you for bringing this up. Exodus for some time now has more exchange partners besides ShapeShift and we are constantly working to add more. We moved into this direction because we want to provide more exchangeable assets, with continued availability, better rates and fewer failed exchanges. This also means that this decision from ShapeShift won't adversely impact your exchange experience within Exodus.

I hope this helps. If you haven't tried the exchange feature recently I suggest you give it a go. I believe you'll find it greatly improved.

All the best,
Michalis

@OmegaStarScream, is there a way for us to sign a message in exodus? like i have to prove that my dash, ltc, and bitcoin wallet addresses are indeed mine without having to send coins from those addresses. those addresses are in exodus.

It's not possible to sign messages. If you want to do so, you could export the private keys and import them to a wallet that supports signing messages.

I hope EOS (mainnet) gets Exodus support again. I get confused by the mainnet wallet but with Exodus, it's so simple and easy to use.

good choice of coins. but the site does not have a mobile wallet. only Linux mac windows!
I would like to have a mobile wallet ios / android
often you need to do something when you are very far from the computer

The mobile app is under development and It's a major focus.

Can I ask you why did you locked old thread and started this one?
Exodus is a decent wallet, but I'm missing some coins, I find more coins supported on Coinomi.

Totally agree with you. Lack of smartphone app is one of disadvantages.
I read somewhere that they may release smartphone app in future, but it's not on their priorities list.

It's an altcoin wallet so It fits here more then the other section and I wanted to make a fresh one instead of updating the old one.
