I have been accumulating Vanillacoin in my wallet and was wondering at what point can I expect it to start staking? I have left my wallet open for over a week now, is there something else I need to do? Thanks.

Is your wallet unlocked?

Yes, it is and has been unlocked.

In that case, I would imagine that it have to do with the total amount of coins and their stake weight...though I would think that a week is a bit long to have to wait.

They will stake though...

There's nothing else you need to do.  A week isn't long at all.  If you only have 1000 coins, it could take over a month to stake.

Ok, thanks.

I was mining them and sending them to the exchange originally, but then read about the PoS, so started routing them to my wallet. I thought I had read it would stake around 3 days, that is why I was becoming concerned. Does the amount of coins you have in your wallet affect it as well?

Yes.  Number of coins, number of inputs, length of time coins have been in that address, and amount of time you leave your wallet open; all will affect how often you stake.

Is there a place to gamble VNL?

PeerBet allows new coins to join for a small fee, or maybe for free if people request in their thread.

What's the current state of the AMD miners, any new development? wolf0, smolen, zuikkis, if I can ask?
I'm currently at 670 Mh/s, r9 290x @1100 core.
I had to put Smelter away for some time. No kernel improvements, no bitsliced variant, half-done ADL, some work on UI with curses. The released kernel is the best I have for now. Another half-done kernel for one of memory hungry algorithm in works, it's going to be commercial release. And still have to do Skein Wink

the coding is truly amazing, out of this world, the codebase is something you would expext from an entire team. john-connor = satoshi, returned to fix the errors in his last coin (bitcoin)

vnl is a 10mill market cap coin, at a minimum, which is why we keep stepping up and up and never dumping, we wont stop till we surpass 300k sat.

there is absolutely nothing like vanilla and zerotime, closest we have is 1.5min transaction time, we have 8 seconds.

if this works, prepare to go parabolic.

If only altcoins price would always correlate with their real quality and features. Which is not true due to market manipulation.

Very true, a solid steady rise with vanilla though. I think people realize that this is something special. I'm relatively new to Vanilla, but I was sold on Zerotime straight away. I'm not bothered about the dark anonymous market side of things as it doesn't really make a difference when it comes to the general public. Bitcoin is anonymous enough as it is. However, zerotime is deffinetly the key to this. In my eyes, if they can do what they're trying to, there isn't much need for any other coin. All the markets and other gimmicky things other devs are trying to do, don't actually require the coin in the first place Tongue

Good coins will show in price, market manipulation only delays it, the reason vanillacoin isent 10m marketcap is because most Of us are greedy and havent Been hyping so that we can buy more. The marketing havent been top notch either but Belive me folks Vanilla is Goin further Than moon Smiley

Ok thank you ! I'd like to buy a FPGA to mine 24 hours a day. How much MH/s can I have with it, at which price ?

I don't think that question can be answered accurately at this time...someone else can correct me if I am wrong.

Maybe the price question. I can find alone but I don't know which FPGA will be usable.

I believe currently they have the $75 Mojo V3 hashing at 2Mh/s

Wow 2Mh/s what is the energy efficency like ? When I do mine VNL I get 550Mh/s off my 280x with smelters VNL miner.

The mojo v3 doesn't have enough hash to make sense to purchase.  The 4xLX150 boards will likely be decent, but it's better to wait until everything is released and you know the numbers before making a purchase.
