I think beginners should not invest in ico because you need to understand the structure of the crypto market. If you are a beginner it is better to study the market before investing.

One i am looking at is Crowdholding. Their ICO launches on the 1st of November. Reason why i am looking into them:-

- Great, solid and large team - from developers to marketers to CEO's with great experience
- Good concept and a great white paper - one of the most important things when looking into a ICO
- finite supply of coins and numbers are all there
- Helping change something - Co-creation with startups.

Nobody can tell which ICO is good because it all depends on how well the crypto users adopt each ICO. Why not have a look at Electroneum in my signature? As for existing coins I would suggest Ethereum, ripple and dash
what is electoneum?
and Ethereum ripple dash aren't big thing for small investment?
