hi
I would like to  popularize p2pool and as I see most new miners don't understand payouts system of p2pool.
Pleez if there are 'master of words'  Smiley among us - give me great and simple text to explain that

well, you can see my logfile at www.nogleg.com/log

there is a lot of 'hash > target' spam, but the main thing is

New work for worker! Difficulty: 6.378540 Share difficulty: 45149.134946 Total block value: 25.082902 BTC including 67 transactions

so to understand payouts i guess you'd have to understand that your miner will report that it's finding hashes or w/e, but in this case there's about a 1/7000 chance it's found an actual share

the base difficulty is show it'll show up on the graph as actually having some activity

please add this node to the list. it has nice latency.
Thanks

 Hello,

When I mounted my P2Pool node,  I read this:

Stop tuning as soon as an average of 0.2s latency or 100% efficiency is reached going below 0.2s will hurt your income and everyone else's on P2Pool.

On the guide "A guide for mining efficiently on P2Pool, includes FUD repellent and FAQ"

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/a-guide-for-mining-efficiently-on-p2pool-includes-fud-repellent-and-faq-153232

I'm not expert, but if this is true, your node is hurting us all....

Perhaps someone a little more versed could help us to clarify this ?

 Regards.

hmm.. if that is true I will tune latency . but I had not seen any problems while mining with less latencies.
Can anybody give more information? in topic of p2pool https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313.20 there is no words about latency

New node added in EU.  HellDiverUK your node has been removed for now until you have it back up and running.  I let it go 3 days past your initial statement, I know you have a PSU on it's way or some hardware of some sort, just message me when it's back up and running and I'll add you back to the list.  Just trying to keep it clean and up to date.

I had to take my node offline until I can figure out my network issues.  I was sending/receiving WAY to much data for a 50Mbps connection and I was the only one mining.   Will probably colo my server in a DC in the near future, not sure yet.  I'd also like to point out that I am glad to take any sort of donations, my BTC link is below.. Smiley

Limit bitcoind's connections?

Tried.  Granted I was using a home connection w/ 60 Mbps Down 25Mbps Up with bitcoind connections at 20 and p2pool at 10 in and 10 out -- nothing else running.   Found a server in Georgia I'm going to be using.  It's almost done downloading the block chain right now..

when I was running server on home connection, I just had bitcoind connection to one IP and p2pool connections to 5 or 6....

p2pool used to use a lot more bandwidth than it does now.  bitcoind, you only need to be connected to a couple of nodes to get blocks propagated fast.  i wouldnt recommend one (ddos, offline, etc), but 3 or 4 should be fine

i only have like 1.5Mbps upstream here

Two new nodes added.  They're located in Mexico and are listed appropriately within the North America listings.  I was told the LTC will be 0% fees for September but will go up to 1% next month.  I've already listed it at 1% so I simply do not forget, but as of right now it is 0%.

Thanks for the contributions everyone and feel free to donate a little BTC if you can, it takes time to check all of these on a regular basis to make sure they're up and running and we do not have any dead pools within our list, so anything helps! Smiley

Nah mate, it's running off an Intel NUC, so I need a 19V laptop PSU with a funny connector.  I have one ordered, should be here tomorrow or Thursday.

Thanks for the offer, though.  Smiley

847Pool is going to be down for another week or so, I'm going to swap hardware after a bit of a PSU flame-out.  Roll Eyes  New parts ordered, should be with me later on in the week.

Dude, you need a PSU? I got a spare 1200 - it's a bit overkill for my setup.....
