ive been meaning to find a work there to earn some btc. id really appreciate it. thanks
You've been using the wrong platform. You're better off using one of the following instead:

1. XBTFreelancer
2. WorkingForBitcoins
3. cryptogrind
4. Coinality

Take note: I haven't tested any of them.

it's against Upwork's rule to be paid outside their service.
This.

Yes, these are the few top bitcoin related free lancing sites but they have good and bad aspects too. Since the sites are new, you will not find as much work and job as you will find in traditional  Upwork site but the positive thing is that users on these bitcoin sites are less which give you more of an opportunity to grab a job with much less competition.

bitcoin is a payment method that is currently done by many project developers so I think it is not impossible if there are some clients from upwork that will use the payment with bitcoin. But one thing I want to ask is do you know that clients who provide jobs in the field of work very much different from the work gained from this forum.
Paying or getting paid in the form of bitcoin is hardly a big deal now-a-days and that there are people who are doing all this especially on the websites like that of upwork etc. this thing is not only helping more people to own bitcoins but is also contributing a major role in increasing the fame and popularity of the bitcoin in the market. Awareness is the only thing which we need to work on and this will surely increase the worth of bitcoin.

Hey mate! I am looking for a campaign that pays BTC or ETH on this forum too.
I've been looking for a bounty campaign with such payment scheme since the other day but found nothing.
Only ICO tokens are commonly used as payment.

does anyone here know if there are job offers on  upwork that pays in bitcoin. ive been meaning to find a work there to earn some btc. id really appreciate it. thanks

This is an interesting thread. Upwork only pays in fiat but it would be nice to have platform that pays in cryptos. Even better if smart contracts can be integrated with them.
Right. I think that the work that can be done on the Internet should be paid in bitcoin, which simplifies all the administrative procedures and costs. Bitcoin is showing a lot of advantages over conventional currencies in terms of payment and usage in the internet environment. That is why more and more big corporations around the world are adopting and using bitcoin.

That's true, Upwork needs to be paid inside their site and not outside. It is really against their rule, that is not allowed to have payment outside the contract. Once you are hired it means you need to be paid inside their site. I don't also know that there is a job in upwork that the payment is bitcoin, Upwork paid with dollar and that is what I know.
Exactly. I have tested coinality and working for bitcoins and they are a good platform. Although I have only ended up having one gig on working for bitcoin since it is still new, but over time, the early adopters always tend to get the best of the site in the long run as you accrue yourself some positive review and the competition in getting a gig is not that stiff. if Upwork will start paying in bitcoin, I am sure they would have made that known.
Paying others in the form of bitcoin of bitcoin and that too on a site like that of upwork where there are freelancers from all over the world is really a good thing. It will not help them in making of more money once they will be paid in the form of bitcoin but it will also help them in knowing about bitcoins and will also motivate them to invest in bitcoin thus resulting in increase in the demand of bitcoin.

Earning bitcoin through these freelance job offering websites is possible. It is upto the users interest to get paid in Bitcoin or through any other form of transaction. Bitcoin has been accepted as a mode of transaction by fiverr which is similar to upwork. Later it paused the service for some reason.
We all know this thing that there are number of people from all over the world who are busy in doing online jobs on different sort of freelancing website like that of freelancer and upwork. Itis actually a very good initiative to pay the project fee in the form of crypto currency rather than that of regular currency. It will not only help the freelancers in making of good money but it will also result in more awareness amongst the people regarding it.

actually I don't know about upwork.much but one of my friend told me that many clients provide bitcoin payment if you want to get paid in bitcoin. And also lots of clients are related with cryptos and bitcoin
currently the adoption of bitcoin has been done in bulk. and the fact that we can have some upwork we can find using the payments in this forum. if we look at this forum. almost all payments are backed up, using bitcoins and crypto currencies, or token

Which I agree, if they will start offering bitcoin payments it will bring some noise and they will inform both applicants and employers, I don't see any
offer yet regarding to any upwork related job, those links that has been provided are good for someone who have a lots of knowledge offering their
service it work a like we just needed to be well informed and well familiar with their offer jobs.

I would recommend you to check the Services section, big amount of jobs are being offered at that section and I am pretty sure that you will be able to find yours.
If you can't find one, you can always open a thread, present your skills, and wait for someone to offer you a job.
Take in your mind that having a good bitcointalk account will improve your chances to get hired, as people tend to trust users with an history here on the forum.
Always remember that if you really want to earn bitcoins, you can do that through real life working(earn fiat) and then convert it into bitcoins easily through one of the major exchanges.

Besides looking on these freelancer's sites, always check Services section on this forum, there you may find tasks which you can earn some satoshis.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

Just be careful with the employers, because you might find scammers there.
Also, caution with which kind of task you take, some of them are forbidden by the forum (like bumping specific threads for an example).
Most especially if he has some pretty good skills he can offer, although he will need to be able to get some attention to himself and if his work his good, I am sure over time, he will get the best from the forum. For now, I am sure graphic artist skills will always be needed as well as huge IT skills, so if he finds himself in that region, he won't have to go too far. Although, for a better freelance experience, I will advise coinality.

My suggestion; if you searched and its still hard to find, find an alternative that pays in bitcoin. But i think its best to advertise your skills here, at least this forums mostly have people from different race that deals and encourage bitcoin. It might be faster to get a client here than other place. And other advantage here, is that people might also want to pay you in altcoin, if you prefer.

For me, 60% of my client from Upwork agreed to pay in Bitcoin.
However, it's against Upwork's rule to be paid outside their service.
You should be extremely careful about this, especially when you chat with your client
They will review your chat log and lock your account.

When I used to work with Odesk (now Upwork), I have one clients who pay me in directly to may Paypal accounts. I know its against their TOS but we have make it a point that we will not used their tools to track our chats.

But I've been away for so long that I don't know they there are clients now that are willing to pay their workers with bitcoins. Yes, you should be very careful if the clients decides to pay you in bitcoin. But I'm really surprise though.

I've been a Odesk worker since 2009 when it was still young and only few workers. I was lucky though that I have maintained a client for 3 long years. Sadly though, it has to end so after that I never entertained any clients and my odesk account has been sleeping for more than 5 years now. I would say that I made tons of money back then.
