Also, those on BitMinter!

If you're experiencing drop in hashrate, go to Worker and set difficulty to 64.
(My hashrate is 36Gh/s apparently)

Since setting it to 64, I haven't had any significant drops there (to like 20Gh/s) for nearly 48 hours.

Wouldn't that put you at about 6 shares per minute? I'd expect you to see a greater variance in hash rate rather than a consistent one. The pool I mine with auto adjusts to 12 shares per minute. With my bitfury units at 200GH each that comes to about difficulty 200 it seems. They are rock solid and match the stats almost exactly. Almost no rejects either.      .05% over the last week.  Have you tried Difficulty 32? How did that work?

Ok, something funky is going on.....

This is normal stats from BF:

This is my stats from BitMinter:
4th column is my actual hashrate. (somehow the 10Gh/s difference is MIA somewhere?)

My kit has developed stability issues in the last few days.
On power up or miner restart, it runs at full speed (around 40 gh/s) but then starts losing hashrate. Right now it only takes 10 minutes before the speed is down to 0.

Any ideas on what i can do?

Here's the stat log file just before i restart the miner:

looks like one of your chips is generating miso errors.  you will need to find the chip and turn it off.  try chip 24 first since that's the one with the most.

It is possible you just aren't connecting to the pool.  Remember that you do not need the preceding http:// for the pool URL. The port should be 3333 and double check the worker name and pass is correct.

Lastly make sure all three sections of the proxy information is the same. That is not really to set up backup pools.

That is a feature I would like to see in future versions though. Smiley

Oh thanks!  I was putting port 8332 for the 50btc pool but changing to 3333 worked.

Having a problem getting the miner to start,

I changed the gateway and connected to the IP address of the pi through a browser.

I setup my pool and hit start, but the noncerate is stuck at 0.  I've tried different pools and stopping/starting the miner through the webpage but no luck.

Here is the output of my stat log:

So it looks like my chips are recognized, but aren't mining.  Is there a way to see a log of errors?  Any other suggestions?  I just got the v2 august starter kit today.

Thanks.

I  chatted with DrHaribo of BitMinter. After checking my logs and tracking performance he is thinking there is a problem with chainminer. He told me that he is going to contact BF to investigate further.

It definitely seems to be a problem with Slush's pool.  I tried BTC Guilld and my miner runs fine.

Same problem here.  My miner is running at 25 ghash, but Slush's stats show just 1.5 ghash.

hey what pool(s) are people using for bitfury?

Slush's is my [previous] preference, and has a 30day luck >100%
Bitminter has fewer fees + namecoin (this is about a 4% bonus, correct?), but the luck recently has been around 90%

my slush pool with bitfury is reporting only about 1000Mh per worker (3Ghash) why?

i noticed that in the last 2 days at some point they changed the accounts page and removed the ability to set a difficulty. perhaps that is related?

BitMinter now supports minimum difficulty. Set it high enough so that it won't ever change, that should fix any sudden hashrate losses.

Hey guys, my Hash dropped again overnight from 45GH/s to like 22Gh/s when I got up this morning.
Seems like I must restart miner every 12 hours or so.

This is on a BitMinter pool now.

Either way I am talking to DrHaribo and he is suggesting for me to try turning off Real Target in stratum proxy.

Can anyone help me do this? lol , I wouldn't know where to begin.

Let me know how it goes because mine does that too.  Except I only have one card so basically I go from 25GHs to 0GHs Sad
Even when I restart it might not come up again.  Last night I was fighting to get it to work.  Rebooted, tried restarting everything.  Nothing.  Tried letting the card cool down.  Reboot several times.  Eventually it started to work once again... but 4h later

Does this mean that my SD card is really really corrupted? lol

Probably need to make me 1 or 2 backup cards.

up and running now Smiley  15Ghash and climbing

very nice! what did you have to do to get it going? re-download the image and redo the SD card?

yeah, downloaded the full image, redid the SD card, edited the ip setting using VMware ubuntu system and the following:

sudo sed -i 's/10.10.11.249/192.168.1.249/' etc/network/interfaces
sudo sed -i 's/255.0.0.0/255.255.255.0/' etc/network/interfaces
sudo sed -i 's/10.1.1.1/192.168.1.1/' etc/network/interfaces

bitfury page reports 25ghash +/-2    and im waiting to see how slushs pool handles it

For some reason after I downloaded it, I had to right click on the file and go to properties. It said this file came from another computer and is blocked and I had to hit unblock (in windows 7). Before I did that win32 disk imager just kept freezing while trying to write. It's writing now, but at a very slow pace. Weird, my minepeon images only took a few minutes to write to my SD card. I am uploading it to mega.co.nz, but my upload speed is shit and says it will take another 3 hours before it is done uploading.
