They made illegal gambling not only offline gambling but also they have made illegal gambling sites which is online. Many sites allow access even if they are not legal on that site but many a site cant be opened from the IP of the united states of America. I use a VPN so by mistake I opened a casino (bitsler) and came to know that they do to allow users from the USA.
If the user is from the US then he must carefully understand the requirements in the casino because even if the casino allows the user from the US with access using a VPN, he must confirm to the casino team that KYC from the US will be accepted. Many popular casinos ban US users, so I don't recommend that you use them unless you understand the risk of account bans or assets being frozen, but I don't know of any other alternative casinos friendly to US users so my assumption is that many US users are switching to offline casinos.

It is a very good assumption and they are surely doing it, for me it is something that is very intelligent, there are many friends who are in the USA, and some are interested in entering the casino to make money, because supposedly life there is making it difficult, I don't know, it may be like that, in fact if I have recommended good sites, including stake.us (as I had already mentioned before) what happens is that it is very difficult to compete like this with physical casinos, because they are "The Vegas "which is the total paradise of casinos, this makes many players prefer it, but for players who are far from Las Vegas, they usually choose casinos that do not cause problems and are online.

This made me curious. How does your friends managed to play on online casinos if they are in U.S? is it without using VPNs or there are just online platforms which allows online gambling.
They are just online platforms which allow online gambling and are very, very famous in the USA. Am not sure if they are crypto friendly though.

Their gamblers are supposed to provide KYC(SSN etc) in order to verify their citizenship which implies that these sites probably paid the US government tons of money to obtain legitimate licenses.

What I really like about sites like Fanduel is that they offer same game parlays which are offered by only a handful of sportsbooks globally.

Fanduel and DraftKings are the way that a majority of my friends choose to gamble online.  I believe that some of the large Vegas casinos also offer some forms of online gambling.  As you said though, none of these platforms are too accepting of crypto.  I do believe that DraftKings is a Polygon/MATIC Validator, so they're clearly stacking MATIC and believe in integrating it into their platform.  I'm not sure what the holdup is, or if it's already been done and I'm just out of the loop.  I think either way it's coming and I'm sure there are plenty of people chatting in back rooms with regulators about what it's going to take to make things like this legal for American citizens.

Am not from the US, but I do know several US citizens who usually play in sites like Fanduel, Draftkings, Pinnacle etc since they receive a lot of great promos from these sites and have no issues providing their KYC to these reliable sites.

I'm not quite sure but land based gambling is still legal on selected states in U.S right? However when it comes on online gambling, wire act in that country announced that online gambling is illegal. Based on what I have read in this forum and other resources, online gamblers are really using VPN just to cross borders and be able to access different gambling sites. What worries me on their end is the lack of stability to some VPN apps and servers which could possible result to conflicts conerning transactions.

This made me curious. How does your friends managed to play on online casinos if they are in U.S? is it without using VPNs or there are just online platforms which allows online gambling.

Land based casino is legal in US but it varies per state. They are just very strict on online casino especially those casino that has license from license board that they didn't acknowledge like Curacao. They have there own license but only few online casino has this due to a lot of restrictions. The casino mentioned by @Haunebu probably are those casino that has a license to accept US citizen that’s why there names are not so familiar here.

There are a lot of online casino that accept US citizen but most of them is crappy like what OP of this thread mentioned since US government wants to regulate there players like what they are doing on crypto exchange to control there profit from taxes.

They may allow users but you will surely get problem while withdrawing your funds sooner or later so if a casino restricted US players then they shouldn't abuse them or else they can take this as an advantage and you can lose money which you actually won with your luck. Already people posted casinos which accepts US players which serves the purpose of this thread so OP better close the thread ASAP.

Bovada and Betcoin.ag are two more sites which are great for US players based on their opinions.

I have some friends in the USA, few friends like casinos, but I have 1 that she loves and goes to Vegas a lot, she is very wealthy and obviously what she spends does not hurt her, she tells me that she has been playing for a very short time in stake, because the other casinos do not win and she tells me that she has read that those who are there are very scammers and some have not paid them, and she got upset, she tells me that stake has seemed very serious to her and apart from that she can play from her mobile, I don't know if they have an app, but from the phone she can play, I've recommended that, Duelbits I think it won't open, I have to call her and ask her to see.

I was surprised recently to learn that there are still many states in the USA where gambling is illegal.

More than 10 years ago it was also illegal to play poker for US citizens, although most online houses turned a blind eye, until April 15, 2011, when the DoJ " issued an indictment against the three largest online poker websites in in the country: PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Absolute Poker. Immediately following the indictment PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, who generated the majority of online poker traffic, stopped offering players the chance to play for real money, effectively halting the poker boom started in the early 2000s and jeopardizing the livelihood of thousands of American poker players."

I guess a puritanical mentality has a lot to do with the fact that online gambling is banned in many states.

The best thing they could do is to legalize it throughout the USA with proper regulations and open it up to the world market.

I think they still have some gambling sites to choose to play. I saw This . I think some more gambling casinos are available in US or at most they can make use of VPN. I think I still like the US gambling environment because it is very regulated.
Sites like that only shows casinos which accepts fiats and credit cards but they rarely accept a crypto and I think the reason why the op ask this question in a bitcoin forum is that he is only looking for a btc/crypto based casino.

Posts or threads rather, like the the op created are mostly outdated, its because there is no need for a player to ask a question like this since there are already ann threads of gambling sites that they can read and all information are already posted there including country restrictions or which country they allow and they can also post their questions within that thread. Anyway, the op still got some answers here. I hope he is okay now.

Stake recently launched Stake.us for Americans to have fun on the platform. I personally also occasionally gamble using draft kings, which recently became legal in my state. I think we’re now seeing gambling become more legal, while at the same time there is cracking down on questionable gambling houses. This is ultimately a good thing, but an ever changing landscape can be difficult for gamblers in the US as what sorts of bets we can make seems to be changing by the quarter.

US players won't write it that quickly, but I'm pretty sure that many players from this country will also just gamble with a VPN connection. I have also read that it differs per state whether you are allowed to gamble somewhere or not. Does that only apply to a local casino or also to online gambling?

A lot of the posts seem outdated on this one, just curious but where are all my US players playing?
There are quite a large number of casinos that are accepting players from the US, i will mention a few of them, maybe you can check them out and verify for yourself, By the way, i am not a citizen of US .

1. Lucky Tiger casino  - This one is listed on this forum and have an ongoing signature campaign.
2. Rich Palms casino
3. Casino Extreme
4. Slot.tv
5. Slotastic
6. Bovada
7. Comic Play casino
8. Jackpot Capital
9. Cherry Jackpot
10. Gossip Slot

For a full list, you can check out this website https://wizardofodds.com/online-casinos/best-for-players-from-usa

scroll down on the site and you will also find list of casinos that are regulated in the US.

Bovada is fiat accepting crypto but it isn't regulated in the US although they take players from the US. Same with the rest of them on the list. They accept crypto but not regulated by US. Some of those are crypto only.  Some books that are regulated in the US are Draftkings, Fanduel, Pointsbet, MGM, Betrivers, Caesars and some others. They are fiat only. Out of the crypto sportsbooks, the only two that will never confiscate your money from playing in the US are Betcoin and Nitrobetting.

Hi. I've been playing mostly at this casino www.ltccasino.com for about a year now and happy with everything. I would like to point out that I've never had any problems with withdrawals or gameplay. I've never had an identity check and all my withdrawals came into my wallet within half an hour. The only point I would like to win in the slots more often than now. But it's just a question of luck.

As others have said, sensible US players who want to be sure that their money and account still exists the next day should be playing on fiat currency local casino sites - of which there are plenty out there. I don't know of a single regulated cryptocurrency accepting casino in US borders, but maybe others do. Casinos are often battling against money laundering and presenting a believable story to the regulators in America, which requires KYC, thus defeating the purpose or extra step of converting cash into Bitcoin. You are at high risk of losing your account trying to hide your overseas gambling, because overseas gambling sites avoid US customers like the plague - they've seen too many extraditions and prosecutions of casino owners from friendly countries to make it worthwhile.

If you want to gamble on a casino that doesn't allow US players and you're using VPN to hide it, you will get a problem in the future.
I really agree with your opinion on this, because the risk of cheating by using a vpn is very risky, one example is when one user successfully uses a vpn when already logged in, but it could happen that he forgot to turn on the vpn (and his account is still logged in ), his account could be suspended or be held responsible from the user, so this is quite a risk for a fraudulent user. And unfortunately, there is a site that provides this method, you can see it at the link I put below.

Vegas and "Local-CASINO" ~XD

Go to your minimum age, and start entering casino for player who want to betting but they're "US Citizen" ~XD. I believe we all know, most of "US" user always getting limited on online-casino.

So, best answer is physical casino for them.
