When those were announced, I was totally psyched. But then I was expecting a price of about 50-75$, maybe even €. That would have something I would have paid for a novelty item. But the current price? A little to much for an item you basically only buy for shit and giggles.

Agree at the current price it is not worth it, but if there is a price drop I might consider it for the novelty.

Prices are sky high... But at the end these devices will hold complete network. Just watch the chart now and around end of the year and you`ll see then what I am talking now.

Very cool, hard to argue that it would actually be worth the money unless run for a very long time..

I would expect buyer's remorse from those that are paying $400+ for them, until I see some stats from someone mining with them and can run it through a profitability calculator I view these as a novelty item.

Whoever is mass selling those on ebay for a markup of 2-5 times the batch price is one smart cookie

Device looks great, but I can't believe some people are paying $800+ for it on ebay.

GPUs are a better deal, they have uses outside of bitcoin mining and resale value.

I would be interested in trying one of these out, but wouldn't want to pay eBay prices though.

The prices on ebay are absurd!
Even if it were possible to buy just one or two, for about $ 50.

The teams that build equipment for mining, abuse in prices. It is time for the community to show that bitcoin prices that have been charged are absurd and has to download!

For a currency that should be decentralized and for all this to get a lobby that hinders the entry of new users ...

Unfortunately is a very expensive price! I think this and other projects are abusrdamente inflate the value of the equipment. Shocked

They are having a 150% profit to the phase which has the production cost! I think that's stupid!  Angry

At this point I believe they are only selling them in large batches, so the individual user will have to wait for retail re sellers to get their hands on one.  Also as many have pointed out high price for low hash rate is a bad economic combo.

Right now they are goign for over $1000 on ebay just for 300 MH/s. Not worth it at all, even if you pay high prices for elrctricity. It will take you 3 years to pay the thing off at current mining rates, which pretty much means you will never make your money back unless BTC prices go sky high.

Not only real, they've shipped already, at least 300 are already in customers' hands. My first ten arrive wednesday or thursday.   Grin Grin
And how much M/h are you getting?
