Yeah, it's BS...would be nice to have told me they were low yesterday when I spoke with them.

Oh well, Gren you need to contact me for repayment.

Philip, I sent you a used one this morning and won't be able to refund I apologize for any inconvenience.

Clueless!
They are now out of stock.  Huh

I'll contact everyone regarding refunds.

Lol

This is what Avalon, butterfly labs, KNC miner, Spondolies all did back in the day. Yank a batch and
Mine them....while singing 🎤 "we're in the money". We are so SOTL on X11 miners.

You just need to compile their version of Cgminer and run the proper command.

I'll fire up my Linux box and see what I can do

If you or anyone else is gonna run these on Linux flavor or unbuntu
I may still get one. I can run them on the laptop running putty and ssh
For my basement KNC Titans. If I can get my hand held/etc to get them up

I don't have a 24hr dedicated windows box.

Let me know on thread or pm

Thanks

About 24 hours left before the cut-off point. I'll run a second buy if there's enough additional interest for a second.

OK, thanks anyway. I'll monitor the post to see if you're able to get some stock.

That's the intention of the group buy, obtain stock and mail out individual orders. Technically I could individually resell these for higher than cost, but I am trying to give the opportunity for multiple people to obtain one of these @ cost without having to shell out .34BTC for 5.

If you do not want to participate in the group buy and just want one of the miners that I am currently using...then I am willing to sell you one with free US shipping for $100 in BTC.

Updated OP to indicate reliable and unreliable interest.

I might be interested in a used one. Would the price be lower since it's used?

No, it would be the same. Possibly best to get a new one for longevity purposes. Plus, the only du-1 I wasn't using has been called for.

Changed estimated shipping cost, due to recent bitcoin fluctuation.

Was on legitskype baikal channel. At first was told they had one a900 giant. Then told they were
mistaken and the person was told to tell me it would be "several weeks" quote

fyi

baikal doesn't want to sell their gear now that it's making them bank.

pinidea at least is offering stock.

I just run them on windows.

There are a couple tricks to getting them functional:

1. You need the proper usb to serial driver.
2. You need a good usb cable. A data/charge cable will do fine.
3. You need to supply each of them with 1.4amps of power.

The pinidea software reports them at an average of 8.2M but poolside reports them anywhere from 7-20M so it's difficult to tell exactly.

If you're rocking a 1070, you should not be mining an asic coin...you should be doing zec or whatever nicehash has for you.

I actually have 2 rigs with mostly R9 290s in them. Was mining ETH until just today when I switched over to ZEC. When I'm not using the 1070 for the gaming/HTPC it's in, I also add its hash rate to whatever the AMD rigs are doing.

What I have been doing for quite a few months is mining whatever with the rigs and then trading or shapeshifting it to Dash. I had about 100 Dash when the price went way up so I sold a couple of $1000 of it in case it crashes again. I still have 70 Dash left and plan to hold it to see what happens and add to it with the other coin mining plus the Baikal ASIC I already have. I've been following Dash for quite a while and I believe it's the best actual crypto "currency" out there. It's what Bitcoin was supposed to be.

That's why I really want more X11 ASICs. It's a shame the Pinidea USB ones are all that's available right now but I might just bite the bullet and buy 5 of them anyway - even though I think they are a poor 2nd best to getting more Baikal miners.

If only Baikal would give me a straight answer about when they will have ASICs for sale I could decide whether to wait for them or just buy 5 or even 10 of the Pinidea DU-1

Searing is pretty good.

I have sold some gear to isoneguy.  Deal was smooth.

I should get one of these.  Put me down for one.

Long wait to May but why not price is cheap.

Thanks for your support!

I have a couple used du-1's on hand if you're in a hurry and don't need a new one.

I'll send out reminders once stage 1 is over.

Hey, I know I'm new here and don't have much clout yet, but I'd be willing to verify myself in whatever way you see fit. 9MH/s @ 12W would be an ROI in just under 2 years. But the good news is at 12W, power costs should never really be an issue. Plus with the altcoin market skyrocketing, and the wider adoption for specialized altcoins which provide a function other than just securing the blockchain (like CureCoin, for instance) I think the recent spike in altcoin prices may be more than mass hype. So anyway... I'd most certainly be down for one. I'd get more, but I'm pretty broke at the moment, and plus, I figure since I don't have any references here, you'd feel safer with a smaller transaction.

So with that being said, and forgive me for my lack of knowledge, but how would this transaction work? I would send you the coins and then PM you the transaction ID with my shipping info? I'm located in the Northeast US. I have 100% feedback on ebay if that means anything lol. Thanks for the details.

I'll put you down for one. Payment is in BTC and I'll request it when the order is ready to be made. You could pay now, and either pm me the transaction ID or post it in here as a reply. Or wait until after the 22nd. Your choice. I'm not overly concerned with your ebay feedback as long as you can pay...and I can deliver what you've paid for, it should work out.

If we have 10 or more paid I can run the order early. If I run the order early we can run a second buy.

I'll collect shipping information after payment confirms.

Thanks!

I may take a used one.  My goal for this is to use it as a solo miner at 10 watts  why not?

I just mailed the  msi rx 470 to you.

If you send me a used one.  I will review it and attempt to get it solo-mining.
I will then show lots of pretty pictures of it running with my 2 sticks from sidehack.
I will shoot you a pm  with my mailing address.

To all concerned  I have sold multiple times to isoneguy so he is not a complete unknown to me.
He has given me the same shipping address for each sale.

Does this mean you should hime him 10k in btc  well maybe not.
Does it mean you could buy one of these safely most likely yes.

For me it will be a summer action miner.
My summer bills go to 16.7 and add in cooling say 19.0

I either sell off gear and/or move to the solar array. As the array can handle more gear with the added light in the summer.

But I like some gear in the house.

I really understand the demand for x11 hash power.... but only 9mh/s x11 just seems like it isn't worth it. I have a Baikal mini miner (and oh how I WISH I'd bough a quad when they had stock) and that is giving me 150mh/s @ 40W. 5 of those USB ASICs is 45mh/s @ 60W! Does each one require its own powered USB hub?

I couldn't get baikal to take my money...they just flat out refused to be available when I was spending. Oh well.

You could probably run 5 of these off a high power usb hub. They require 1.4amps each, so if you're running it directly from your pc's usb3 port you'll only be able to get 1 of them running properly. (something about power limitations on embedded usb lanes).

Tell me about it! I have been emailing Baikal more than once a week lately and they just give me the same "we don't know when we will have more miners available".

I think that when they do have them they will double or even triple the price, given that when I got my mini-miner it was making about $0.50/day and now it's making $4.45/day.

When I look at the thread on the official DASH forum about the DU-1 there seems to be a lot of people who have trouble getting them to work, but I guess people with problems are much more likely to post for help. I also see that people are actually getting approximately 7-8mh/s out of them rather than the quoted 9mh/s on Pinidea's website.

What is your experience with them? Do you use a Linux machine to talk to them or Windows? Are you getting 9mh/s or less? Sorry about the interrogation - I'm just a bit dubious about paying what they are charging for 8-9mh/s @ 12W - but then again I have a GTX1070 that cost me $500 and it only does about 13-14mh/s @ 130W so I'm just not sure.

Hindsight is 20/20 but god-damn I wish I bought a Baikal quad-miner when I had the chance.
