A wise use of winnings - especially winnings large enough - is not to spend them, but to maximize them by investing them in reasonably sound businesses, or simply putting them in the bank, earning interest on them. Otherwise, the money will come and go as quickly as it came
Do we still need to tell people to use there winning wisely? Even though we keep telling gamblers continually, everyone would always want to go for there own decisions and that would never make a change. It is very important for us to know what we are doing and make sure that we don't keep doing something that will keep us under the carpet. Gambling could look like fun to us when we need making profits but others that are losing are never looking with it. They'll want to get their initial capital back and leave gambling. That is what is going on in some gamblers mind because they can't just keep losing everytime with remedy that will attract some winnings to them.

It's great to see how you've used your winnings in the best way you could, though one shouldn't use all the money on materialistic things but I guess that depends on the amount of money you've won. Since you didn't win a very large amount, you could only use it this way, but if someone manages to win a significant sum, they can also use that money for investment and other purposes so that the money keeps growing over time and there is never a need for money anymore.

When you spend the money on materialistic things, or partying, or any other source like that, the money is used once and it's gone. However, if a person uses the money wisely, makes investments, buy assets and properties, start businesses, these things can make their money grow, and over time, they can have multiple sources of income.

As you are gambling responsibly, also use the money won responsibly.
I won 328,000 from Sportybet. It was a running game that finished 3 days ago and I decided to use the money wisely. I had a small television in my living room so I bought a Smart TV for 307,000  I am so happy seeing this in my living room.
As you are gambling, make sure to use the money won to do something that you will be proud of and happy about. You can invest some in Bitcoin, buy properties, etc.
Do not use all the money back to gamble, that's not wise.

congratulations on the victory you achieved, it is really not easy to achieve that, in fact i am also sure that the capital you have spent is quite large, small things like the ones you do really make gambling actually not a bad thing if done responsibly.  In fact, your story can be used as an inspiration for others, so that they use their gambling winnings wisely.  reusing all the money obtained from gambling is not a good thing, a responsible gambler will definitely only use the initial capital again to gamble, and the winnings will be withdrawn to be used well.

Predicting are easy but winnings are very hard.
However I am very happy for you as you have win from betting and also used your winning money wisely, it is not 3v3ry gamblers that can do as you did.
For you to use the profits from gambling to purchase something that will be entertaining you when you are bored, that means you have used your money so well, this act is also an achievement.

In fact people use money according to their needs and buy their essential goods in bulk. There are many people who can't do anything even after making a profit from gambling and at the end of the day they just feel that their needs are empty. Because their goal is to gamble again with more money after winning so that they can earn big money. Your strategy is correct so you spend your winnings on other things. This year i used gambling winnings to pay off a new bike and loan that i really needed. However this year i want to buy a house and for that i am gambling a lot of time and money but of course i want to do everything responsibly.
You are correct, I have also been into that state, there are times that even if you win big money from gamble, you will not know what to use the money for and yiu might also use the money ti gamble and lose them back to the gaming account.
Some of this things happens to those that doesn't know what they really want.

This «use winning responsibly» only works when you win a large amount of money. For example if you win x10 or what your deposit, then it might you should be considering being responsible. But if you deposit $10, win $5 and withdraw $15, then what? Go to shop and buy food that wont expire for long time? Make investment? Or buy medicine for example? Imo with small winning people would be always irresponsible, no matter how financially educated, experienced in life or smart in general they are.

Finally I see a different situation by reading the ideas you convey, honestly I quite agree with your statement that the situation experienced by the OP is only when we are really lucky and then consider choosing a more appropriate and wise decision by prioritizing cashing out the winning amount, this is a situation where gamblers manage to get a big win which means several times the amount of capital they bring. But on the other hand, this wise consideration I think is quite difficult for them to choose if the winnings are not much, they will think and assume that "this amount is meaningless" even though basically it can also still be called a win and the difference may be only a small amount that is visible.

In situations like this I'm sure that most gamblers would prefer to prioritize greed over cashing out, honestly on the other hand maybe I will also admit that usually I will decide to cash out when I get a return with a percentage of 100%, for example bringing a capital of $10 and if for example it increases with a win and reaches the amount of $20 then usually I agree with myself to cash out.

Jesus!!!  Shocked  Shocked Shocked
How did you win this game man? January is not half yet and you have been blessed by the new year, I pray it continues to favour you and please take caution after this win. I know the feeling of having won a game but you and I know better how gambling is, this might trigger you to bet more of your money or even bet more than you can afford to lose. Don't go beyond this initial and keep to that bank roll. Don't ever make the mistake of having doubt like "if I have known, I should have stake big amount than the ₦3k, it's a suicide in gambling, please keep to your ways.

By the ways, I'm not trying to advice you how to live your life but don't you have more other things to buy, I'm concerned that buying such a big TV without other accessories will make you want to be eager to have more money to do the complete set up, you should have go for 50 inches which is lesser than that amount. The last time was around ₦270k. You would have save a lot to buy other stuffs but anyways congratulations. Don't mind to share your winning details, are they over or under options?

First of all congratulations on your big win, it really give hope that gambling is a profitable business that can changes ones life. I'm happy you quickly withdrew  the money and used it to buy something you can remember. Two years from today you will still see these properties and remember that you gon them from gambling. Anyone saying all manner of bad things about gambling around you will be greeted with evidence of something good achieved from gambling.

Some people will keep this winning in the account, and start planning to use the money to win more money. They will increase their stake and might end up giving the money back.

What you did is the right thing to do especially with gambling winning.  Each time I win, I withdraw a significant amount of the winning into my wallet and quickly use the money to do something important instead of keeping it in the gambling platform.

Congratulations on your winnings being put to good use on the item you wanted. You used it well.

I've done the same thing... where in sports betting with high odds and it's a great win in a few times... Then I withdrew and used the money for fun not forgetting to also give the item that was dreamed of so there was no need to look at the pocket money anymore, but this is what gambling is when you are lucky so use it well... You are one of them.

Not much with this one, because what I know from a friend who won big in a slot game with a total of $1500 but he played again in the hope of breaking through to $3000 as a result it became a loss all.

You have won a large amount so that you can buy that Smart TV. Congratulations on your win. Hopefully, this Smart TV can entertain you and your family, and you can remember your winning moments forever. But you have to remember that getting a big win can trigger you to continue gambling because you want to get another big win, and you will think you can still get it.

And I agree with what you say, don't use all your winnings to gamble. It's better to save some money to use for other, more important things, even if you allocate some funds to play gambling again.

I get that you're excited about your gambling win because I've been there before but it's necessary to think beyond just placing bets. While buying a Smart TV feels good it might not be the wisest use of your winnings. Responsible gambling involves making smart decisions not only in the game but also in managing your money afterward. Consider saving or investing with long term value for a more secure financial future is the best you can do with your winnings.

Once you get into gambling it can be challenging to leave.

I think being responsible in gambling is accepting defeat gracefully. If you just gamble but losing becomes an uncontrollable emotion then this is where our responsibility disappears. it just becomes a burden for the people around us. I have seen how an irresponsible gambler loses in his game. they don't stop there but steal to get back capital to gamble. This is one of the irresponsible gamblers.
Those who can accept defeat and not continue gambling will certainly not make them experience bigger losses in gambling. It is very important to be able to control emotions when gambling and we must be able to be responsible for the gambling activities we play and not let our gambling activities can disturb the peace of those closest to us.

What you say is very true, those who after experiencing defeat cannot accept it and still have the desire to gamble but don't have the money will of course look for ways to get money and the thing we see most often is they will steal and there are also those who take out loans to get it. When they gamble, of course they are gamblers who really disturb other people.

That's right, if they can stop when they lose by not depositing the money back and not gambling on that day, maybe they can reduce the risk of losing their money by quite a bit, because there are people who gamble without accepting their losses and This makes them annoyed so that they deposit money back to recover the losses that have occurred and what they do will most likely only make them lose large amounts of money in a short time.
with those who insist on gambling so that taking action to borrow money to gamble again is the wrong step, because by doing that it is also impossible to guarantee that they will get a win that can cover the losses that have already occurred, but if they do it like that it will only make The problem is bigger for themselves, and there are still those who cannot control themselves when they win, where when they win they still continue the game even by increasing the bet amount which of course carries a bigger risk.

I don't know about you OP and it's a matter of subjectivity in opinion so please don't get offended, I don't think that buying a television set is a responsible way to spend your money because there's other ways that you could have optimized that money that you've won to further increase your savings via investment of that win into something which is most likely bitcoin for you, the reason why I don't think that it's a responsible way to spend the win is that technology depreciates in value but that's just my opinion, you can always do what you've got to do and it seems that you're much happier than you usual with this purchase so I guess you're spending that money wisely and congratulations to that big win, that's one hell of an odds to get that much money.

I don't know why buying a television set is not a responsible way of spending your money when it could last longer than a year. Just consider it as entertainment where you can watch with your family a movie or even have access to the news since it is a smart TV. Just consider it as an investment as well for a long time for your entertainment from that it could also reduce the number of gambling activities you can do. Well, we all have different plans when owning huge money, even if you invested for the long term you would have plans for the money you would accumulate or the profits.

You think buying bigger hi res TV as a responsible way of spending?
I see spending money items that we use for entertainment to be irresponsible but that's my opinion and your money you have the way of spending it. But ask again, you are going to make your life better if you see big pictures in a TV or if you invest on something that may give you returns later. Smiley

Maybe the OP could have spent that money in a better way, but in any case it is better if he bought something that he obviously wanted, than if he continued to gamble with that money or if he only spent it on food, drinks or things that would soon ended up in some closet or garage. The OP will certainly enjoy his new TV, whether he's watching a movie, a game, or maybe a documentary, and I'm one of those people who appreciates high-end technology and is willing to pay for it, assuming it will serve me for many years.

As for reinvesting money, some people are too obsessed with it to the point that they only reinvest and never afford anything, then one day they realize that what they wanted all along they actually don't need anymore. Life is too short and every day can be our last - that's why I say "Memento Vivere".

It's rare to see people who can control themselves i gambling. Am very happy for you OP. You remind me of when i had just $15 in my account and i wanted to pay my tuition fees so badly but don't know where to get the money so i have to use that last money on me to gamble. Luckily i won about $450 in which i immediately used to pay my fees. However, i had the urge of doubling the money after i won. It was difficult to hold myself. I know there is always this spirit that tells you that you can double it immediately. Good thing we never listened to that spirit if not who knows if we would have lost in the bet. There might be a probability that we may lose or win the money.

You did well for yourself, the biggest problem that gamblers end up with is always have this mind of wanting more and more, so when they win a lot of money they will think about ending up with even more money.

Some don't even know how to take their initial amount first and risk the rest, they will go back into the casino and risk everything again, sports bets are better though, because it's fair enough than playing slots or in a casino, because I do believe that once you win a lot from gambling, the casino will try to take everything back from you, this is why I use gamblers to laugh, when they say that they have a strategy, my mind thinks about the strategy that the casino already have in place for such people.

It's just like investing money in digital assets, your money isn't really yours until you take profit, so when you gamble and win some money you should always take your profit and quite at that moment, the longer time you spend in a casino the likely you will walk out empty handed.

The only thanks I can give is to livecasino that do give we his campaign participants free spin. Last year, I remember I won over $450 in two free spins. The second was just two weeks ago that I won over $250. These money are the ones I used for something good.

-snip-

WOW! that's great! I haven't had the same luck with the free spins, but reading that is encouraging. Congratulations!

And congratulations to the OP too! if you wanted that TV so much and will bring you moments of joy, you did the right thing I think. Enjoy it Smiley

Though his actions may not seem responsible to you, they can be seen as an accomplishment because, at the very least, he didn't waste his money on silly items, and he finds great satisfaction in the fact that, even with the small items he purchased, he can demonstrate his accomplishments and have a memento of his winnings from gambling, and that is by purchasing a smart TV. When it comes to investing our money or spending it on something we think we can use around the house, we all have different tastes and opinions. Similar to when you receive a paycheck from your job, you consider how you may use the money to further your own interests. You won't be able to support your hard work if you spend it on anything without considering where it will go.
