I'd suggest that if you want to add a link to a site, it would be a good idea to clarify
whether they are in NYC - because of the bitlicense thing.

I had an account frozen for two years because of FACTA so I'm a bit paranoid about these things.

How does one get a bitcoin account frozen?

These sites are all for spending bitcoins. Bitcoin does not care if it is being sent to NYC.

Ok they eliminate international fees and comissions for themselves.

But when the employee wants to spend his bitcoin, he has to turn it into fiat, which will then make it subject to those costs later.

So what they did was they just outsourced the employer costs to the employee.

---------------

Now when bitcoin becomes accepted by more merchants, they wont have to change it, but so far this is not useful for 99% of the population.

But still nice to see innovation like this.

Huh? Are you talking about BitWage?

When I want to spend bitcoin I either spend the bitcoin or get paid a percentage when someone buys it from me for fiat. And when I use it in places like Amazon I get a 20% discount. Having bitcoins puts you in the advantaged position when spending money.

Check out Rakuten, they have Bitcoin payments for a while now, I have done some shopping and the experience was good. They are going to have a Halloween special where they will have offers. If you want something like a videoconsole or games or a smartphone I think they have good prices

I wish Opening Post was updated frequently. I checked some links and I some of them are unfortunately dead now, for example: http://www.tigerdirect.com/ or http://www.cryptosextoys.com

Tiger Direct is alive and well and should go on for a while. As for the second link...not touching that one right now at work.

The ones below my reviewed links are just ones posted in the thread, not day to day spending. I do use them frequently and update if they go away.

This isn't an every day site but I used it so I'll give it a review here.

http://www.pexpeppers.com

Living in Germany they think ketchup is spicy. I like some of my food to be spicy. I have Tabasco but that's just a flavoring.

I ordered the Killer Swarm:

https://www.pexpeppers.com/product/pexpeppers-killerswarm/

It does the job. Made with scorpion peppers it has a good kick to it. I added it to some wing sauce and it was quite tasty, I just added a few squirts to about 12 wings to it wasn't too hot. But I tried a plain finger dab when I first got it. At first I didn't feel it but then it kicked in good. Some good burn, but not overwhelming.

AWESOME!

IMO, https://atriark.com is a great site for acquiring large sums of Bitcoin without having to give away all your personal info.

How is it different from all of the other exchanges?

Just an FYI for takeaway.com which points to lieferservice.de in Germany. lieferservice.de has stopped accepting bitcoins but said they plan on bringing it back.
They merged with another company that didn't accept them and used the new company's payment processor.

Updated my takeaway.com review after using it a second time.

Has anyone else used this service and had something you put in the "remarks" box ignored? It might be a German thing or just based on each restaurant's system.

Thanks for this thread!  Wink
should be a sticky, so it could be updated....

Yes, I agree. Can we leave this thread on top? It's very useful for newcomers and everyone else.
Thanks

for Australians, this service which allows you to pay BPay bills(all utilities practically, often rent, fines, credit card bills, loads of bills have a BPAY code) w/ Bitcoin: https://www.livingroomofsatoshi.com

this makes it a lot easier for a person in aus to almost live off BTC alone..

closed for a while but has re-opened now  Smiley
