Seems like you learned the lesson already, so not much to say in that regard.

I have supported your flag and added my own tag.

For anybody who wonders why I would believe this screenshot evidence of a scam and not others, the main reason is HedgeFX has bothered to build a reputation here for himself over the years, whereas Support@web3devs has not.

Someone didn't pay for a worthless coin, which is just some number in some app. In the same way, user Support@web3devs can open scam accusations, because someone offered him junk for $25 per unit.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears Support@web3devs offered the $25 first.

That should've been a red flag when the asking price was so high and that they don't mind to pay for a coin that can't be withdrawn, and it's weird that Pi Coin still exists because my friends have warned me about that coin a long time ago and they're laughing at people that are promoting this coin. Either way, the scammer didn't really profited that much out of this scam, 30$ worth of Pi Coins is just a pathetic scam, might as well just return that coin, other scammers are probably laughing at that scammer right now. I feel bad for that scammer a little bit, sold his soul for 30$, that's not even enough to pay rent lmao.

No, It's not exactly as you say. Pi coin is listed on some platforms, but its deposits are suspended https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pinetwork/. The price on these platforms is around 38 USD. But in P2P exchanges I have seen that the prices are much lower.

The scammer contacted me and offered $25 per PI coin. If you read the conversation you can clearly understand how things went.

Edit: my opinion about PI coin does't change. Is worthless and is a scam coin (it require Full Kyc for be able to exchange it!!!)

Yes. I Was little stupid. But 100 pi coin are about  wortless (can't be sold or trasnefered to exchenge, only p2p exchenge). My friend didn't lose anything at the end,  but at least we well find out a scammer.

Are there any scam elements here at all?

You yourself claim that Pi is worthless, yet here you open a scam accusation for the amount of $2463.
Amount SCammed: 100 pi coin or 2463 USD

You are right: he scammed for less than 30 usdt. Really poor guy.

The unofficial price of PI is around 0.3$ ,Now you can easily detect scammer when he gives you huge high price then market. I feel sorry for your friend loss but I will also blame you because you are old user of this forum then how you trust newbie without any escrow.

You should also create flag and add links, I will support flag.

Wow, it’s quite surprising that a snr rank member would make the mistake of engaging in a risky trade with a newbie account without using an escrow.

From $25 to $24.6 shows that he does not want to put any doubt in your mind, normally he would have bargained for the price to go down more since the official price and your selling price is too different but he just accepted it and I guess the total amount got you that you didn’t even bother to check the authenticity of his account. But what is done is done, even if he receives a thousand negative feedbacks it will do him zero harm as the account in question is a newbie account and he can create a new one at anytime and continue his business again.

Long story short:

A friend of mine mined a lot of Pi coin . So he asked me to hel him to sold them. I posted some request on Bitcointalk.org. I got in touch with user Support@web3devs , that proposed me 24,63 USD per PI coin, so after some message, my friend sent him 100 Pi coin Support@web3devs. For payement ask to nuyer to send amount in bitcoin to my staked address, but nothing happen and now i decided to opend a scam accusation due the fact that the user opened various post about his service of developer (so this would be a real warning about deal with him).

Please DT1/2 Tag him.
