BFL is probably mining with your preordered rigs. Then after 1 or 2 months of straight mining and huge profit theyll send you you rigs. Win win for them.
means that ASIC are real, whitch they are not yet and customers be furious..noway.. Grin

I was thinking the same thing, and I posted a few times about them using their own stuff.

ASIC's real? Possibly, them using the equipment before shipping? Probably. Customers being pissed off? Probably not, at least you didn't lose $30,000 by getting scammed.

He did say that "There is also my personal equipment, not everything is allocated to Pyramining. I have in total ~400GH/s."

They formally opened in May and that's $244,720 in rigs @ 20,000 watts not allocated to his business.  That seems unusual.  I just don't get or care to attempt to get how pyramining works but when things start not adding up in a business that sounds odd already, I stay far away.

Their website says something about ASIC pre-orders too???  From who?  Speculative mining spots being sold or something?

Plus, who would use a mining pool, and not the best one fee-wise by any stretch of the imagination, for 200GH/s?  I think he's covering for someone mining ASICs or something else screwy is going on.

He's lying.  Nobody in the world has personal gear like that.  FPGAs aren't fast enough and at Radeon 5830 speeds, 400GH/s is over 1200 cards, all with insane overclocking.  Even industrial places have trouble getting that much electricity (242,000 watts) not to mention cooling problems and management problems.

not possible?  could it be 400/25= 16 minirigs from BFL? or some kind of combo?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Desolator... so you dont think that he is the original guy running the site pyramining.com? If he is... cant you imagine that this business could let you leave with hardware after a year that is yours while the investors got their payment already back? Im not sure if its possible but i think maybe it is.
Regarding the power... maybe his farm is quite beneath a geothermal power station in iceland? So he has the power and probably for a low price?

I dont have the knowledge if that can be.

400 Ghash wow...so when asics do come, what will happen to the old equipment?  Unless it's all BFL stuff that will be traded up.

Why would anyone mine there?  They invented that BS IOCoin and IXCoin and fucking some other bullshit-troll-coin.  If I had an ASIC, I'd go anywhere else.

I did not invent either of those.  I made a copy of the BTC Guild frontend for IOCoin and SolidCoin back when the altcoin fad was going strong.  Pools were losing significant speed to altcoins at the time, so it was just logical to setup a pool for the altcoins.

It couldn't be a proxy pool mining, no way that could EVER happen. Roll Eyes
Its not like someone could get a bunch of miners at their pool and proxy that work to another pool. ID10T

Also recently BTCGuild is one of 2 pools supporting stratum - designed for high hashrate hardware - why wouldn't someone finding it works well switch their whole farm to stratum? instead of the more anonymous way of loadsharing between several pools.

thats it u are completly right  Wink

Isn't That user using GPUmax?
I guess you missed the bit about paying more than 100%PPS to mine on a pool that pays 95%PPS (5% fee). it isn't gpumax - thier IRC chanel is pretty much dead but what is being said is "no leasing" lately.

yeah sigh, lately any time someone notices a high hashrate user a new thread pops up asking the same question, also all of the ASIC manufacturers have said they will not be burning in or testing on main net.
