Not all cryptocurrencies have such a price difference. Usually, the most popular cryptocurrencies have a difference in price. As well as the price is affected by trading volumes on different exchanges.

Why are the prices of the same cryptocurrencies on different sites different? They are very near but not exactly the same.

The price difference in each exchanger is reasonable because the price of each coin is not centralized and everything depends on the demand and supply on the exchanger itself. Unlike forex with a centralized price, the price of cryptocurrency is not centralized because it is decentralized

Yes the prices of an altcoin on every exchange differs, because of some protocol and by their service fee or transaction fee. Thay also differ on volume trades. Prices varies depends on the transaction withdrawal fee and also minimun withdrawal, so if they have the same, maybe they have equal fees.

each exchanger has a different system, and also different traders too,
so it's natural if the price is still different for each exchanger, but if it's a little different I think it's still reasonable, different things if the price difference is far away, like BTC prices vary hundreds of dollars between exchangers with each other,

.. for arbit sales.
but this is risky because it competes with time.
This is what i used to do, a year ago. It is true that it's risky, because we're not the only one who see it as an opportunity.
The fastest is the winner.
How fast will be determined by your exchange site. some exchange sites may able to block withdrawal for a while due to the arbit reason. I have seen so many exchange sites have not allowed the users to do arbit to another exchange site.

The main reason is liquidity, most of the big exchanges have their prices close to each other but the small exchanges lacks liquidity and rely mostly on these big exchange to drive prices direction, that is why you notice huge spread on most of these small exchanges

You are right, there must be a slight difference in prices but not much different. Apart from liquidation, there are differences in the time and source of the site. I think this is still normal, as long as it doesn't experience a large price difference. Visit an official site and have a clear source of information. So that you are not fooled by the price chain.

Every exchange is a different market. If you even view the real world market, prices for goods would be a bit different on each.
Transaction fees, withdrawal fees, etc keeps the small margin difference. But when it increases significantly, it's balance by arbitrage trading.

Because in my opinion there is no site that actually presents real-time data.
In addition this's several sites to check the price of a coin or token.

  • CoinmarketCap
  • CoinGecko
  • CryptoCompare
  • CoinLib
  • LiveCoinWatch
  • Coincodex

Most of them claim to use real-time data but we (especially me) don't really know how "real-time" data they present

It is because of different investors and traders on different exchanges that is why prices can be different too and for the knowledge of readers here many people make profit out of this price difference on different exchanges and it is called arbitrage.

Because it is an open market based on supply and demand with no fixed price.
And there will be no big diffrents in prices because arbitrage speculators exist.  Cheesy

The value of an crypto currency depends on many factors, such as volume trading, uneven distribution of the electronic money community, pumping and dumping groups.  The most important factor is still volume because the package represents the liquidity of crypto currency.  And the price difference between exchanges is normal.

Why are the prices of the same cryptocurrencies on different sites different?
Have you find token with only 2 to 3 exchange to sell or buy with but the different gap of the price is so high?
I've seen one, and that's just a shit token that will just survive for a month or less.
What i mean here is, the question that you're asking is only apply to top ranked coins/tokens.  Which means that, they have good reputation,
good oppinion about them, have passed throught the bad and good times, and they are sold or bought in some exchanges which are reputable and good.

Only a small difference. but sometimes prices differ greatly and it becomes an opportunity for arbit sales.

When data is wrongly stored, such is likely going to happen.
This has been happening for quite some time now and which is why you always to to check exchanges, at least to confirm their prices, before concluding or affirming that you know its price and not what others area saying.

They have their own preferences but as long as it's near to the price of what the demand tells, it's now you to determine on what's the best price for you.

I don't know where they are depending their prices but it's likely that there's something to do with the supply, demand and liquidity on that exchange where that specific coin is listed.

Why are the prices of the same cryptocurrencies on different sites different?
I would say that the sites collated data from different sources.  As you know, in many cases some sites prefer to collect their data from Coingecko while some prefer to use coinmarketcap and this 2 major sites have In many cases have or show different prices in the same cryptocurrency. Some had said that Coingecko has the correct data of price

Why are the prices of the same cryptocurrencies on different sites different?

It's simple, as real people trade mostly on exchanges. Therefore, you have noticed a discrepancy in the price, but as a rule they are not significant for popular Altcoins and Bitcoin, but if a coin or token is claimed on 2-5 exchanges, then a difference is quite possible.

Why are the prices of the same cryptocurrencies on different sites different?
Because the liquidate in any sites are different, you can see that when there was a coin that worth $0.1 in site A and then you will see that coin worth $0.12 in the site B. but I guess you can take exchange site which has a big volume as the best source to get the real price of token itself.
