Im using a clone of the well known kill-a-watt meter, its pretty accurate when measuring light bulbs atleast. Are there better alternatives?

Okey.. so in Iddle you have 130w and after mining 450w... so card consumption is 320... You underclock your Power limit on card ? or you just underclock core ?

In fact http://vega.miningguides.com/ is for 64... if you wanna go for power saving you must visit https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/74hjqn/monero_and_vega_the_definitive_guide/ ... and VEGA 56 with Stock bios:

Nice to know that it can be fixed tho!

I dont know what it is, not much room for error i think. I used the "safe" .reg file and the same settings listed for overdrive provided in the guide.
Kind of frustrating. Currently im repeating the steps in the guide, but without any luck really.. still at 450watt from 1 mining card

I have a sapphire nitro+ vega and it draws 180w with -20% power so you are doing something very wrong.

Managing cables is not fun for this build.. Anyway, I cant really find any confirmation that this card would draw more power doing the same stuff as a reference vega.
Any information is appreciated!

Yea, could be that third 8pin connector. I thought it would only come into play when doing overclocking, i dont really see why
it should consume THAT much more than reference Vegas. Cooling is very nice and silent, yes  Grin

Problem will be that NITRO+ edition... that has 3x 8 pins...

I have standart gigabyte and sapphire edition and when I overclock tham to +10 Power and +150 memory i got like 250-260w...

On the bright side... you have good cooling and neon led Cheesy

Go for 950+ on memory...and intensity" : 1932 and you must get 1950 hash rate...

Hi everyone, recently i decided to join the vega mining train. What I have is 4 of the cards written in the title.
I followed the guide from very thoroughly (still using standard settings without much tweaking)
http://vega.miningguides.com and everything is working nicely.

I am currently only using 1 out of the 4 cards.
The only issue i have is power, hashrate is stable and just below 1900.
From idle (~130watt) to mining using XMR-stak (~450watt) seems way more than what everyone else are consuming.
The settings im using is 945MHz memory and 1407MHz gpu.

Am I missing something? - This is my first time mining
