Joseph,

Just a question about a worst case scenario in which an order is not received through no fault of the buyer.  (stolen, lost, etc.)  If my order (shipped via USPS non-registered mail) doesn't show up in a reasonable amount of time, what happens?  Is the buyer basically SOL?  Or is there a certain time frame in which one can expect either a refund or re-shipment of the order (like maybe two months or so)?

I asked Amagi Metals this a few months ago, and they sort of gave me the runaround on this.  It seems to be a thorny issue. I couldn't find any info on this subject on the Agora Commodities website.

I guess to answer my own question--if it isn't insured by either party, the buyer is screwed--but was wondering what your answer is on this.

Also, do you only accept orders (paid with btc) for which you actually have items in stock?

(Also, all the above is in reference to a possible gold order, just to clarify things a bit)

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply.

Amagi's shipping page is informative and pretty standard industry wise though I can see how it is not really addressing your issue.

The buyer is not SOL provided that the package never showed up do to a fault with the shipping. For instance if the carrier can not show that an item was delivered then you are entitled to a settlement. Most companies reserve the right to settle with you in either the metals or the USD value. If the sender can show that the product was delivered to the address that you gave then you may not be entitled to any compensation.

The sender will have to get a confirmation from the carrier that the package was lost. Once that happens you should be compensated. If you are getting the run around it might be because the company does not have the liquidity to settle with you without having been paid by their insurance company.

There are ways to contact the local post office to get a better idea on the whereabouts of a package than you can find from their website.

I don't know if I can help you with any more as I don't know the complete details. Give me a call (877) 576-7342 and I will try to help you further. Or you can email me

Your *what* is itchy?
For the amount these precious metal brokers charge for shipping, they should be insuring/registering the package.

Greetings Bitcoin World,

For the last month we have been testing sending out some shipments with USPS overnight express. So far our customers have been delightfully surprised by this service so we have decided to implement it into our everyday shipping.

The free overnight shipping applies to the higher value metals (gold, platinum, palladium, and Rhodium). All free shipping ($5000.00 and above) will automatically be sent overnight provided that it is not silver.

We hope you will be pleased with this new service. We are always looking for ways to better serve you the customer.

We will also be sponsoring and anarchist podcast here shortly. Please let us know if there is anyone you would like to hear on the show and we will see about getting them on  Wink

This is simple, just use https://kojn-app.com/ and you'll be accepting litecoins in no time.

Thanks for the advice. We were looking for something like bitpay or coinbase where we could cash out the LTC right away. Does anything like that exist?

Hey Bitcoin world!

Agora Commodities would like to be the first bullion dealer to accept Litecoin as payment for precious metals. We need advice as to the best way to proceed. We need to have a way to quickly convert the LTC to USD to pay our distributors.  Please reply here on this thread with your suggestions or visit our thread on the litecoin forum

You can also tweet your suggestion to @agoracomm or post to our Facebook
