Other good news from Bitcoin.
But actually I am not too excited with this because the longer and the growing age, this will exist and maybe in the coming months there will be other airports that follow.
But this will certainly be a dilemma for local banks because we know that so far the airport is always affiliated with local banks and with the arrival of this automatic bitcoin will be disrupted.

Simón Bolívar Airport which is an international airport in Venezuela is working on modalities to start accepting Bitcoin.
That's good news, especially in Venezuela, We know Venezuela is a country that is very concerned about the economy, because Bitcoin is so well received there, they were able to recover from the economic woes slowly but surely.

I believe that one day Venezuela can become a super country in every way, especially in Bitcoin adoption, what's more with the existence of a regulatory system at the airport Bitcoin users can pay directly with Bitcoin, an convenience for the Venezuelan people.

I read more here:Bitcoin Daily: Venezuela's Simon Bolivar Int'l Airport to Accept Crypto for Flights; BitPay, Wix to Team on Crypto Payments about the news.

Crypto adoption is on the rise and many countries are considering adopting and regulations which is one of the set back of government and decentralized currency adoption because they can't control it neither can they regulate but some countries are already adopting Bitcoin as a legal tender.

Of course, if they return to BTC it is proof alts cannot really provide a good use case but let us see how this develops.

Sure Venezuela did some shady shit in the past but let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they will correct their mistakes and maybe they become even a bigger bitcoin supporter than El Salvador. Maduro will make this right imo. He has all that oil which he cannot export and bitcoin might be the key to the freedom. Imagine trading oil for bitcoins. That would fuck usd right in the azz.

Agree my friend,,, I think one of the bad things about my experience short as it may be in crypto is that I have become much too skeptical for my own liking. Everything is viewed with suspicion and with pessimism.

But you are right. Venezuela has been in deeper trouble than El Salvador, maybe even now he learns his own mistakes with random alt blockchain and realizes he can bypass sanctions with BTC. That would definitely eff up USD.

We can discard the news out rightly simply because the country has an economic crisis, even the highly developed countries also suffer an economic crisis and inflation. But despite that, some citizens still use the airport for travel and business, which makes it important for Bitcoin to be adopted since it can help as an edge over inflation.

Compared to the rest of the world, Venezuela is in a far more difficult situation than some kind of crisis caused by a pandemic. The sanctions under which both the extremely corrupt and incompetent government find themselves have pushed the country to the very bottom of world economies. The data show that this airport is practically focused only on flights with neighboring countries (with a few exceptions), and that Bitcoin as a payment option does not mean that the residents of that country will actually use it.

Most of them live in extreme poverty, and the minimum monthly wage is less than $10.

What can we expect here as Venezuelan Government is now depending In crypto to survive their dying economy and desperately needed this badly.
anyway i don't think this will bring any good effect in this market now, but lets see if there will ever be another change in our funding inside the crypto market.

I’ve tried to get hold of a footage of the original press conference where this was announced, but came back empty handed. I’ve seen a couple of articles referencing a specific phrase, which does not seem to have been commented on much. Specifically (translated by me):

Quote
<…> He mentioned that they will work alongside the Superintendencia Nacional de Criptomonedas y Actividades Conexas (Sunacrip), in order to adapt to the european model, where various aerodromes allow payments through Bitcoin, Dash and other digital coins.

They reference studying some European aerodromes (they are not using the term airportshere). I Wonder which they have in mind …

With the news that venezuela airport has accepted bitcoin and yesterday one of the banks also accepted bitcoin, this is proof that bitcoin will be more trusted by the world in the future, so now is the right time to invest in bitcoin.
That can boost the popularity of bitcoin in that country as travelers who come to that country will know about that when they arrive in that country. Somehow, that can be a good promotion to bitcoin to many people at that airport because, after this pandemic, the number of people who use bitcoin will increase drastically. We should not miss this to invest in bitcoin and no matter how little our money is, we should use bitcoin as our investment for the long term.

Actually I feel this news is also very normal in a hyperinflationary country and the increasing acceptance of btc in their country is also an inevitable part. I am sure that in the future, they will implement more things to bring btc into real life more.
Bitcoin is on its way to becoming an integral part of most countries’ economies, and Venezuela is going to take advantage of the many financial advantages of Bitcoin as is the only escape route from the present economic hardship experience in that countries. And I also believe that the government will work out modalities and policies to adopt Bitcoin in the future as a legal currency.

This is very simple, the Maiquetía International Airport is in complete control of the Venezuelan government and obviously they will say yes to cryptocurrencies, for them better, because it is the only way they have to bypass all the prohibitions that the USA and some have implemented. European countries, however this is only a benefit for the government, the people, its people do not receive any type of benefit, the government continues to pay in Bs, which is something like "nothing" even though the economy is fully dollarized .

However, looking at it from an optimistic point of view, BTC has more adoption and that is not bad.

And what a bad operation it was with not even a public working blockchain Smiley

First El Salvador and now (if true) Venezuela (this is big) are changing to world for good. Who would knew that these countries would lead the world crypto adoption while the westerner countries stay skeptical about it. Interesting times indeed. I think the west has a lot to learn from these two countries. I believe the rest of the world don't do them justice.

I agree in principle,,, but as I said earlier, Venezuela does not have a good reputation with crypto already. They did the first state controlled crypto and it was such a bad implementation,,, not public, not even transparent and totally reflective of all the corruption the president and his cronies were known for.

Of course, if they return to BTC it is proof alts cannot really provide a good use case but let us see how this develops.

Congratulations, Venezuelans; this is only the beginning for the rest of the world.I already said in some of my posts that bitcoin is going to be adopted by more countries day by day. I mentioned this type of reason for that. First people become tech-friendly. They want to make their life easier and all things happen all because of technology. People are now genuinely interested in new technologies. In that case, bitcoin is old, more secure, user-friendly, and the most advanced technology in the world to be used as a payment system. But now it has also become an investment asset. Now people trust people more than the stock market. And now the government can't unban it for a long time because of social media, and the most influential people are talking about crypto. That is why general people know about it. And when a country's people are asking their government about it, then the government can't ignore it for long. They have to answer. And in most cases, yes has to be the answer. And what is happening right now? More countries are coming.

This is almost insignificant news, this is about Venezuela, which is under sanctions and has very limited air connections with the rest of the world - which means that the already poor citizens of this country who barely survive do not use airplanes, so I wonder who will pay airplane ticket with Bitcoin?

This is great news for bitcoin fans around the world, but you are not showing any websites I can search for this news. at this time we all know that fraud often occurs and this is what makes people live in fraud and will harm people who do not have deeper knowledge.
Hopefully this news does happen and hopefully it can be a guideline for all airports so that bitcoin holders can use their bitcoins as a means of paying for airline tickets.

Try as I may, I haven’t been able to locate further details in the local media. The available news are announcing the event, but not providing insights as to how it will be rolled-out, when, and under what set of rules (i.e. if a person cancels a ticket paid in crypto, and the type ticket obviously allows cancelations). The airport confirmed the news some days ago (https://twitter.com/IAIM_VE/status/1446186555769606147), but nothing further is mentioned so far. Waiting for the details …

All was good till I arrived at this part:

As hyperinflation and USA sanctions disrupt Venezuela economy, cryptocurrency is emerging as a way to provide services handled elsewhere by the traditional banking system. It has become a tool to send remittances, protect wages from inflation and help businesses manage cash flow. Good news really.

And if is magically helping protecting wages paid in bolivars from inflation and businesses, why do they still have inflation?
Venezuela could even adopt bitcoin as a legal tender, you will still see inflation as you need more goods than you can produce, the prices will still go up, Bitcoin is not able to singlehandedly compensate for the stupidity of the ones in charge, Madurao and his pack of imbeciles would bankrupt country with whatever standard gold, silver, bitcoin or oil.
If only fixing an economy would be that simple!

Slowly but surely, that's the development of bitcoin and many unexpected events in 2021 and hopefully continuing in the following years there will be more interesting surprises about the development of bitcoin.
and this is good news and an example for other countries that Simón Bolívar international airport aka Maiquetía airport in Venezuela accepts bitcoin payments and this action is to save a currency that is thought to have been beaten by hyperinflation for years, and I think the good news about bitcoin will be sustainable and make them aware that bitcoin has far-reaching benefits.

That’s a great and best news to hear.
As a crypto and Bitcoin lover, we are finally able to see a strong positive attitude towards Bitcoins after so many time.
Due to the decentralised nature of Bitcoins, many countries were claiming Bitcoins as illegal, but now seeing this great step, i am confident that many countries will support Bitcoins now.
Really happy and delighted to hear such a good news.
Long Live Bitcoins.
