The xvg dev team is really working and achieving its roadmap. I expect the price to surge in few months time when the market finally recovers

The McAfee pump put Verge on the radar for many people and I think it will go even higher than it did once cryptos recover and the momentum continues.

Why is verge going down and wonder if I should sell my coins?

You know everybody will disagree with you selling coins at these current dip. But its your decision, maybe you got your coins for free so there is really no loss for whatever price your coins be sold. But if you paid for those, make sure you can till get your capital, if not just wait until the prices are stable again.

Naturally, in comparison with December 2017, Verge price is VERY low now, but this coin is not the biggest loser. If you did not sell it before, it is useless doing it now: you will lose much more. Just wait a bit.

Why is verge going down and wonder if I should sell my coins?

every coin are going down, from Bitcoin, top altcoins down to the newest altcoins in the crypto market today and also Verge as well.
if you are getting enough profits then you could sell them otherwise you can hold if you want.
in my personal experience, I am holding all the altcoins that I earned through bounty campaigns until today because I am waiting that the crypto market will soon recover and earn higher profits in due time.

Unfortunately if you haven't sold your verge already you are too late, it was already pump and dumped by john mcafee and he has probably moved on to PnD another coin. Look at low market cap privacy coins so you don't miss the next pump. Deeponion look interesting with a strong community, possible contender to replace verge later on.

I am having the coin and I will continue to buy more when the coin is down. Do not rush to sell at this time, if you sell it makes the situation worse. When investors start trading they know it is risky but they accept it as a necessity of the market. The fact is that when the coin market falls to a certain level, it stops and continues to rise and can rise very high. It's time to sell to make the best profit.

do not sell your coins when the market price declines, you will lose a big profit, you can wait a while the price will rise again, you better invest with this price, so you will get many benefits.

I have not followed the Verge project but it's been around for a while now and it does seem like a good project that is constantly developing.  I wouldn't sell them at this moment.  Everything is bottoming out and if you sell now, it'll be selling at around the lowest prices of the year.

All coins and cryptocurrencies are going down boy. Not just verge. If you would like to lose money then by all means i encourage you to go ahead and sell verge and all your other coins. Some people need to be fed to the whales before value goes up again.

The McAffee pump has come and gone. But verge has a big community and the developers have proven naysayers wrong by releasing the Wraith protocol.
Its still at the top. You should take the profits and hold a little bag in case it shoots up more. It has the attention right now and thats all that seems to matter in crytpo, for now.

It was pumped very hard and increased so much in price from 40 satoshis from 2000 Satoshi so I think its a time for proper correction and then it will grow again according to the trend so its better to sell and wait for the correct dip to buy again because its a good coin and I am sure it will increase in future and will be worth very good if you are long term trader then I will recommend you to hold and you will get good profit in future.

I also bought Verge on growth. But my strategy is not to sell without profit, even for periscope. I'll wait for growth, as we believe in this coin. And there is no guarantee that if you sell now, you will be able peresekaetsya cheaper

I think that you should keep the coins just in case something cool happens, unless you invested everything you had into it.

I think it's not worth it. It seems to me that they will still grow in value. Though to solve certainly to you. Considering the frenzied growth of this coin over the past two weeks - she just went for correction. But the market is not predictable.

I think to sell is the best bet right now. Because it was dumped and probably will go even lower. Then you can buy again cheaper

Because it was just pumped by McAfee and others.

A coin's price was around $0.20 yesterday, meaning $898,560 worth of coins were being mined every day.

Which means that price is not sustainable because the coin's market is much smaller than to be able to soak $900k each day long term. This coin is massively overpriced right now and while it might go higher, long term it will go down.
And the block halving is still roughly ~130 days away.

If you list coins by circulating supply on coinmarketcap, you can see that Verge is the 9th coin with the biggest supply. 14,392,106,994 XVG. That is a shitton of coins. Each valued at $0.20 is not realistic for a coin this size.

Also, TOR "anonimity" is nothing new but many newbies think it's some bleeding edge tech. For example Joincoin's first block was mined in 2014-08-11 and I believe it had built in TOR "anonimity" from the start.

The Wraith protocol also doesn't sound like anything new but we'll see.

It was due for a dump. If you bought cheap and can still take some nice profit then sell or if you bought high - HODL.
