Yes long-term holding is the best, but you have to speculate as well, when the price is high selling partly and buy back when the price goes down because it will benefit you.

Verge has a high market cap with no further room for growth. It is used as a pump and dump coin so long term hodling will not get you any further gains. I better option is to invest in low market cap privacy coins like deeponion or XSPEC which are both potential 100x coins

There are better anonymous coins out there, and I think that their price hikes are solely based on fomo and hype, instead of anything of real substance. It's basically a speculative, pump and dump token with no real life usage, really.

If you are comfortable with investing in something like this for the long term, then go ahead. But I don't see much potential.

It seems to me that this is due to the general, even many users make such investments, while doing neither analysis nor detailed study of a particular project.

I would argue that is exactly what it's not a good long term coin to hold.

The development team seems to be focusing their energy on hyping their project up to the maximum they can possibly can, and looking at partnerships that aren't even needed, instead of actually developing their project. Most investors are only in it for the short run because they saw how quickly XVG rose during its rally.

As I said, there is virtually 0 long term potential with this coin, and I think once the hype dies off the price will gradually decrease.

It might be good for the long term but it is overpriced now, also pornhub partnership and the crash has ruined its reputation, now many investors and traders are disappointed and does not expect it to rise without a better news which is difficult to be seen in the short term to me.

Verge has a good team. They are working on the project and trying to make some arrangements with other companies. Pornhub was the first one, Spotify is a rumor, however still - if this will be truth I see a great potential in this coin.

I think XVG is very good to be maintained because Verge is currently being trending in altcoin so a lot of its devotees in crypto market and getting known of course for long term will bring profit.

The best decision is a decision based on your own beliefs. Holding into the best strategy if you have a coin with good growth. Verge's growth is pretty good, but I think it's risky enough to hold it in the long run.

I think the decision to hold a coin on a long terms depends on you mindset of that coin. You shoud be the one to decide what to do with your coin to avoid loss, but for me, I think it is averagely a good coin. You can decide to hold it if you think it is good enough for you to hold for long term and can decide to trade it if you fell otherwise.
