Boris: is the pool just so unlucky at the moment or is there another reason why there are no payouts in the last 4 hours? It shows I only mined 5 coins in that time with ~1.8Mhash...

got the same problem, no payouts for a loong time :/

Do you have the link to set up your own node? I'm hashing about 620 KH/s -- is that enough to be in a P2P pool? I'm getting sporadic payouts and I'm on the node that has the least latency to me, etc.

https://github.com/donSchoe/p2pool-vtc has instructions if you scroll down, especially make sure you read all of the readme and the bit at the bottom about using --net vertcoin.

If you want to run it as a daemon, there is a regular p2pool init script you can adapt. The same goes for vertcoind (just search for bitcoind init script and adapt it), then to have them run at boot just sudo update-rc.d vertcoind defaults and sudo update-rc.d p2pool defaults etc.

I'll see about doing a howto for local p2pool nodes soon - the donschoe readme in the github is fine, but something that included the init scripts would help new users get it up and running in a neat and tidy way.

where do u guys mine?

Kilovolt is having problems, and bitcrush is not paying anything actually.. I have been ming there whole night and minted 10 VTC??? wiht 2.5 mhs? What a heck..
I feel raped..
So please give me some tip to reliable pool that is paying :/

EDIT: also querytime is about 300-600ms? pretty sure there isn't a problem on my end.

I get 234 KH/s with these settings on Gigabyte 270x OC edition:

timeout /t 60
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -I 19 --thread-concurrency 10244 -o stratum+tcp://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -u xxx -p xxxx -g 1 --gpu-engine=1100 --gpu-memclock=1500

For my cards this TC happens to be the sweet spot, you may want ti play a bit with it.

Also, there is big settings thread here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-big-vtc-vertcoin-settings-thread-416572

Anyone got good settings for a 270X?
Using  -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 12 at the moment. Getting 150KH/s.

270X should be able to get a bit higher KH/s, right? Like 180 or something?

All pools inefficient now  Sad

I have left http://vert.bitcrush.info/ because its a total crap pool and switched to heavy industries. But it started to find blocks 3 years after few hours of mining too like other crap pools....

I am mining in p2p with my 1,35Mh/s since and everything seems ok with payouts but my reject rate is too high..It's hoovering around ~20% sometimes even 25% while I see people with similar hashrate around 2-5%..how they do it? I've tried no + diff adjustment, I have tried +0.001566 by BorisTheSpider guide calculation and I have tried one suggested by the pool..what else I can done ? Huh

What's your latency to the node? You will get the absolute best performance by hosting a local node if you can - you don't have to open it up to anyone else, just run a private one for your own mining.

Quote
Over the weekend, most cryptocurrencies feel in value by between three and 16%, but the widely-shared losses are still some way short of the heavy falls predicted in the wake of tighter Chinese regulations on bitcoin use.
Brought into place on 31 January - Chinese New Year - the restrictions were expected to prevent financial institutions and payment processing companies from dealing with bitcoin, forcing the value of cryptocurrencies down.
At the time of publication, bitcoin is down 3.5% at $808 (£493) per coin, according to CoinMarketCap.com, while Tokyo-based Mt Gox exchange is offering the currency at $925.
Litecoin is experiencing a similar dip, down 4.6% to $21.82 per coin, while dogecoin is down some 10.6% to $0.0013.
Bucking the trend is Vertcoin; only the 34th most valuable cryptocurrency by market cap, the currency saw gains of  71.8%, with it more than doubling in value in the last four days to $0.73 per coin.
VTC - I BELIEVE ! MINE AND HOLD !

In all reality this coin may be the best coin in the game. It should replace Litecoin.
ASIC proof is pretty powerful stuff. And the coin just feels really good.
Not to mention the best website out there.

Please update your wallet (optional, but will help the network)

As I posted earlier, when I built the KGW release wallet, I forgot to compile UPNP into it. This has resulted in the DNS seeds taking a lot of the load, because not many users are accepting incoming connections.

It would really help if some more of you would re-download from vertcoin.org so you are accepting incoming connections so that new users can sync their wallets quickly.

Please update if you have a minute:

http://vertcoin.org/downloads/Vertcoin-setup.exe if you want the installer, http://vertcoin.org/downloads/Vertcoin-Qt-Win.zip if you prefer just the plain files.

i tested p2pool for the last 8 hours and it gave me nice and constant payouts.
I received the first payout after ~30 min of mining.

But what i wonder about is that the p2pool page (http://vtcpool.co.uk:9171/static/) only shows around 600 kH/s (stale shares included) and my cgminer says i have around 800 KH/s
Whats up with the difference?

Yes, it does that to me too. I don't think it matters though, because I am getting good payouts. Maybe the calculation there needs tweaking by the p2pool guys.

Haven't received one for 3 hours and 30 min now..

Look at my payouts: http://explorer.vertcoin.org/address/VcsTzvXAMv6DBj8HkDvAF2zzLWXvSwZCBi
With ~420kH/s I also got pauses of 3 hours sometimes but at the end of the day I get as much coins as expected.

What's your hashrate?

750kh/s
