Good that a Bitcoin supporter/lover won the presidential run off but I think he will be keeping his personal interests aside and will be doing what's best for his nation and people. It's not as easy as we think to support crypto alin front of assembly as he should be ready to convince other stakeholders if he has to make any crypto or Bitcoin friendly initiatives and to be honest Bitcoin will continue thriving even without government's support but it would be really nice if he don't create hurdles for crypto. If he remains neutral that would be more than enough for us.

It's a great news for Bitcoin community because now our friends from that country won't face any troubles in accumulation Bitcoin because someone who's a lover of Bitcoin would always try his best to support it and will allow anyone to own Bitcoin. Who knows that in future that president allows the citizens of the country to have Bitcoin without any restrictions and that will be a good thing I guess.

If isn't either hard to support crypto mostly Bitcoin in front of assembly because Bitcoin has been there for more than 13 years and anyone who poses any finger against it should be referred to its history that how much growth it has got in a single decade. I'm quite sure that he will be able to convince everyone to make Bitcoin friendly initiatives in his country because that will be helpful for everyone not only for himself. I believe that we may see huge support for Bitcoin from Argentina during the presidentship of that guy. Let's be optimistic about his leadership because he's part of the Bitcoin community and surely he will do his best to take Bitcoin a step above.

Believe politicians at your own risk, they only listen to the people during election, the moment the get that office job, that's all. They don't value and don't keep to their promises, many politicians are guilty of this very much, they promise paradise and when it's time to work, they forget or use excuses here and there just to run away from their responsibility.

How is he going to battle inflation with the 120+% inflation rate they have been fighting? Bitcoin can be a good reserve which everyone knows and a legal tender is another form of adoption but that doesn't stop what is really happening in the country. If they need to fight inflation, there are so many things that need to be put in place before they get out of this, many reform of policy, they need to change the fiscal policy and even sack some members of her Central banks, they also need to weed out some corrupt officials for the country to breathe well.

If what is being said is accurate, this is fantastic news because politicians in general cannot be trusted, that is how they will make promises when proposing. And, after winning or obtaining the desired position, they will promptly forget all past pledges. If he keeps his word, I believe it will make all their country happy and also proud him. And once more, it would be amazing if he acknowledges Bitcoin as legitimate money, which would lead to an increase in the number of Bitcoin users.

Sorry to ask if this presidential winner is a Bitcoin or crypto lover. If yes, it means that he has been given many promises platforms about bitcoin and crypto. Once he wins, right?

We know that when there are many promises, usually the words are not fulfilled simply or immediately because it is not that easy to implement them in reality. or the others, after winning or sitting in the position, immediately forget most of the promises. I hope he fulfills whatever he promised, and may it happen if there really is.

The celebration in the air is quite massive that many media outlets are reporting that Javier Milei's presidential election victory is responsible for the current surge of Bitcoin. For someone who's pro Bitcoin and very critical of the central bank that he even labelled it a scam, many bitcoinists will be hoping that his administration can help promote the widespread of Bitcoin in Argentina and across latin America... I guess we'll have to wait and see, but at the moment the victory is worth celebrating.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
President being crypto-friendly doesn't mean it will be positive news for the whole crypto market.
Let's note that there are still other authorities that are against crypto and might stop making some regulations.

I did a quick search and based on this website, the total percent of the population that is currently holding Bitcoin this 2023 is only 5%. Well, it's in the top 15 for the highest number of population who own Bitcoin. With the new president that's pro-crypto, I expect it to go even higher. I don't know if this will have an effect on the price of Bitcoin, but let's just not overreact with this one as we don't know what the newly-elected president will do.

There might be a chance that he just used cryptocurrency to increase his popularity. I mean they're politicians, and I'm not generalizing all of them, but there's a "CHANCE".

Fantastic news for the cryptocurrency community in Argentina! Javier Milei's victory in the presidential run-off election on Nov. 19 is a significant milestone. With over 55% of the votes and a substantial lead of nearly 3 million votes, it's clear that his Bitcoin-friendly stance resonated with a large portion of the population. This victory could potentially pave the way for more favorable regulatory environments and increased acceptance of cryptocurrencies in Argentina. It's a positive sign for crypto enthusiasts and investors alike, highlighting the growing influence of digital currencies in shaping political landscapes. As always, it's crucial for the community to stay informed and engaged as developments unfold. Cheers to a promising future for cryptocurrency adoption in Argentina!

When I watched to their presidential election debate, I noticed he has a lot of similarities with former president of the US. He was vocal about his plans and visions and seems determine to do just like he said. He challenged the financial systems and promised to embark on several reforms that will change the status quo including the central banking system.

But I see a little problem in all of them. Will he have the political will to challenge the powers that be? Argentina is not that of a strong country and they have a lot of unsettle businesses with IMF, can Javier Milei withstand the pressure from these powerful organisations?

As for the future of Bitcoin in Argentina, the new administration will most likely legalise Bitcoin just like El Salvador did but I don't think they will see the benefits immediately because they have a lot to address ranging from unemployment, inflation and poverty.

We should not get excited by this news. Though the new president is Bitcoin lover, making regulations related to crypto will have lot of hurdles for him. Let us see if he can cross them.

We will have to wait and see how much importance Argentina's president-elect places on Bitcoin. But I think the legal tender clause would only be appropriate if it declares bitcoin legal, as Argentina has a large number of bitcoin/crypto holders.
As has been done by El Salvador's President, Nayib Bukele, he has accepted Bitcoin and declared Bitcoin legal following all principles of legal tender. And he has bought many bitcoins which will protect him from future financial storms. Because Bitcoin is the most suitable way to invest for a long time, because Bitcoin will definitely have high speed with its own speed. El Salvador's Volcano Energy is generating energy.

The link above will tell how the citizens of the Argentina country loves their new president, although I can't really tell if they like their president based on he is a Bitcoin lover.
Gradually gradually, Bitcoin is moving at a good speed and also spreading.
Bitcoin will continue to grow with innovation from lovers. We know that the President has an important and vital role in every policy taken by the country's government. Therefore, this is an opportunity for Bitcoin to fill the void that exists in the country. Will Argentina follow in El Salvador's footsteps? Hopefully the first thing Argentina will do first is improve its economic situation because it experienced major inflation this year before seriously responding to Bitcoin.

Congratulations to his victory but the politicians are definitely not a solid wall to lean on as there sugarcoated words are dearly to attract personal interests favour from the masses at the time of electoral campaigns.
And if only these Political alleys could have exhibit are promised during its campaigns, the then they could be reliable.
However, with benefit of doubts, there is set to be a massive excelling as this course that is to tender global enhancements with an authorized massive adoptions and a wide spread of Bitcoin through his regimes in government.

Argentina has one of the highest crypto adoption rates so it’s not surprising that majority of the citizens here are bitcoin lovers and holders as well.

Well, with regards to this newly elected president that is bitcoin lover, this is good news for the crypto community as it’s going to create a positive boost most especially if this president will be able to create promotions about bitcoin so that their country will be next in line with El Salvador that is totally on bitcoin. For now, we are in awe of what could be this president has to offer that is connected to bitcoin, so let’s just wait and see for the next months and years if he’s really devoted into bitcoin, or just like other presidents who’s promises have been broken.

It will be interesting to other prominent people in the society to embrace bitcoin in the society, and secondly what I will want the new elected president to do concerning cryptocurrency is to ensure that it has make a bitcoin a legal tender since is a lover of bitcoin despite that the legalisation of bitcoin has to be pass it into law, because if it happens to me I will ensure that I have legalised bitcoin, so bitcoin will have more dominance again across the world.

We need to wait and see, remember the politicians are good in promises but not in doing it better, while He is a Bitcoin lover then are we expecting something like what had happened in EL Salvador?

because this is what mostly to happen if He is true to his word and seeing Bitcoin will help their country to recover from falling.
But happy to hear another president will have good act for our precious bitcoin.

This possibility cannot be ruled out, because during election times , to win people's trust, they are willing to do anything to achieve their goals . Many politicians make great statements during the election campaign, but when they become president, they fail to deliver on their promises.

Anyway , this is welcome news for bitcoin investors in Argentina. And I hope he will not only be more open to bitcoin but also be able to help Argentina escape their country's current crisis. As far as I know , the inflation situation in them is getting as bad as in Turkiye.

OP I think this topic will best fit in Politics and Society so you can try moving the topic there.

However, it's a good thing that most countries government officials are willing to embrace cryptocurrency. Perhaps they have seen and believe in the new technology. Very soon we will be hearing news about Bitcoin campaign and rallies in Argentina and many of the citizens will begin to accept Bitcoin and at last may be accepted as a means of exchange in their country.
