This is based on the fee that you are doing most of the time, its simple and due to that you can have some time between it.
to me i think it is not a good for the future of bitcoin. i think the transaction process should be fast and efficient. some time we want to pay for some thing that we have bought in a shop but if the transaction will take such a big time then it can create problems. therefore transaction should be fast.

I encountered the same problem, small transactions unconfirmed
for about 8hours. Maybe there is a problem with blockchain.
This happen to me always in blockchain. You should wait then.

And the last transaction got 12 confirmed but the fee was the same 10k sat i think there other way to accelerate your transaction just found days ago
Let this try https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
They are including your transaction to the next block maybe it can help your transaction to speed up.

OK, thank you again!  It looks like my problem was paying just BTC0.0001.  The blockchain.info app on iPhone is what I used.
When you click next on transaction it will show details regarding your transaction before you click confirm/send, in that window you will see customize link on fee section click it than you can edit those fee amount they have recommended. Hope this will help to figure it out...

Today's task is for me to figure out (which I should be able to figure out on my own) how to pay BTC0.0002 or BTC0.0003.  So, I'll get cracking, and report back.

(Now if I could just figure out how to send BTC0.03 or so (what I have left) without that pesky error...)

Some of the above comments were very instructive for me re the whole Bitcoin Ecosystem, so again thanks.

Fees were calculated automatically by the app (BTC0.0001)
I am also using blockchain.info mobile app and i always check recommended fee and estimated time to get confirmation within app to optimize it to get confirmed within next block. Blockchain.info is recommending fee that is only enough to get confirmed in next 2 blocks but if you need faster confirmation you can increase that fee manually.

Please from next time make sure you pay 0.0002 fees at least because I am using blockchain.info wallet and it never lets me spend more than required and now a days its setting fees around 0.00016 or more.

🖤😏
Every time I want to send bitcoin I enter an amount bigger than my balance and it tells me how much I can send after fee is deducted, shows in red in blockchain.info, You could transfer funds between your own addresses like putting all balances in one but only after you successfully sent the transaction then you could see balances from other addresses were automatically transferred to your main wallet address, but after they updated the wallet you need to first transfer your small amounts to one addy first with fees each time and then being able to have a total balance in main add.

This thing just destroyed their usefulness for me.

However I have imported addresses but still can't move funds between them without fees, I don't know what is going on with their connectivity to network but some times there are only 20 nodes connected and many times 0 nodes shows.

Thank your for your comments guys.  My transactions from 4 days ago were confirmed, finally, today.  I then went on to send out three more very small trx to get my BTC out of the blockchain.info app for iPhone, here are two of the trx numbers (the third went to an app (iPad) I have elsewhere, I do not have that info handy):

9d90d0170110364270ac161e59d9de03bc83e419a82d551215b830b75cc278b5

Fees were calculated automatically by the app (BTC0.0001)

0 confirmations each, sent about 12:20 PM US ET this afternoon, so some 9 hours with no confirmations.  But, the amounts are tiny, so who really cares...  As long as I get the rest out even if it takes time.

For each transaction you paid 10,000 satoshis.  Broken down for each transaction, it becomes

txid 9d90d0170110364270ac161e59d9de03bc83e419a82d551215b830b75cc278b5 @ 258 bytes,
You paid a fee of ~ 38.8 satoshis per byte

and for this one af76fb91e313d8359f06269d5efa85b1f073a0a34d7749ce93a1b736a49b6f3f @ 257 byes,
you paid a fee of ~38.9 satoshis per byte

Looking at the info from https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

Seems that minimum transaction costs are increasing and 0.0001 BTC is no longer sufficient for a smooth transaction.  Double that amount would have put you into the ~instant tx speed though and it's still not that much; 18 cents?

What software were you using by the way?

I think the transaction fee input is okay, it must be the application you use, we need to be extra careful with most of this third party apps

Somehow op has received the bitcoin finally, though it seems very low. Better is to try with the apps recommended by the service provided. Sometimes this issues might be due to the usage of unauthorised wallet applications.

if you use scrappy App ... yes, you can't EMIT because you don't follow the rules.

use this : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet
you CAN NOT choose the fees (but you can choose the speed).

My last transaction is stuck mempool take 26h with LOW fees (because i choose this speed).

SegWit is not a question of FEES ...

Follow the rules with FEES will be always the right answer.
It's a network.

Thats not normal because i usually put a normal fee for every amount i've transfered. Usually the confirmation will just take for about 30 minutes up to 1 hour. In your case. Thats not normal because the fee is normal rate. Maybe the amount is too small. But i think its not because i can transfer $1 with normal fee. The difference is im using different wallet. Im using mycellium wallet. So i think the problem is on your wallet.

there must be a problem with that, cause i have sent about 0.001 with very small fee and the transction was confirmed

Can we see a txid?  The fee you paid needs to be in line with the tx size.

Which is very confusing for average people. I know more than average person and still its confusing for me.
How can i calculate good fee for each transaction quickly from software wallet level?

 If you go to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
You can see the recommended fee in satoshis per byte then I just use the slider in the Bitcoin core wallet.... most of the time Wink
