Until they mine their next block (possibly 2)... Theoretically, a total of around 144 blocks  should be mined in total per day... ViaBTC currently have about 5% of the total hash rate...

So you'd expect them to get around 7 blocks per day... 24/7 = ~3.5hrs... So they should find a block on average around once every 3-4 hours...

Of course, it could be that they get lucky and find 20 blocks today and you only have to wait 10 mins... Or they could be super unlucky and find 1 block... And you have to wait 23 hrs...

If it said succeeded, they've accepted your transaction and will mine it eventually... It just might take some time.

NOTE: there is nothing stopping another miner from confirming your transaction in the meantime...

I just tried it and it said "Acceleration succeeded".  What does that mean?

Thanks

I used it before, but it does not work anymore, I guess I am constantly getting the error because it is too busy, I looked at similar sites but I could not find it, I guess there is no other example.

there are paid services, such as https://pushtx.btc.com      and others,or you can ask people here on forum Quickseller and macbook-air or cyyap95 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1934749.20) to accelerate it for you for a fee
also, there are no other free services I'm aware of but it seems that with more than 170.000 unconfirmed transactions
Viabtc accelerator is either running out of free slots too fast or they have stopped to allocate enough free slots at all
I was not able to accelerate transactions today ,even if I was  spot on time

viatbtc can be slow even when they accept your tx because you still have to wait for them to mine their own block, in the worst of case this can be half a day or more but usually you only wait a few hours.

it works with me sometimes even 30 min after beginning of the new hour

It resets when then hit a block.

No block it resets around the hour.

no it still resets on the hour but the thing is people are living in different parts of the world and the time zones are different, some places are +#.5 hours like 1.5, 3.5 hour from UTC and some are +#.0 hour like 1, 3 hours so to some people's perceptive it is on the hour and some others on the half hour Wink

I just used it over the last two hours. I have also gotten the wrong captcha message before. Most of the time it was me putting a q instead of a g swears it looks like a q though.

I have been able to use it . You just have to literally be sitting there and hit submit at exactly the exact second your clock changes to the new hour. Doing this I can sometimes get two txs done but after about 30 seconds it's submissions are beyond limit. I just wish that the tx I  actually paid viabtc to accelerate yesterday afternoon would confirm as they have found quite a few blocks since then.
I have been able to use it as well, but you can read above what happened with my attempts-it is one and two hours ago, literally
so it makes me wonder, are there any slots to accelerate for free available or not
as the site returns incorrect capcha even if it is entered correctly thus it doesn't allow you to accelerate for free, forcing to buy paid services

Viabtc is now unavailable for free users?
what happens: I have 4 transactions unconfirmed all with 150-200 sat/byte (while recommended is 350-380 but hey it is not my fault-withdrawals)
so I wait till the start of the hour, refresh captcha ,copy paste tx,all 4 and hit enter in each tab
I get submissions beyond limit, thats 1 minute 20-30 seconds after the hour starts Smiley
so I'm thinking,ok I was not fast enough, lets wait one hour and try to accelerate the largest one
next hour I enter captcha and get-incorrect captcha message o_0 I was 100% sure everything was correct and of course my next attempt is submissions beyond limit
guess what...next hour it is incorrect captcha again,so I guess there will be no more free acceleration for public anymore
if any of you guys accelerated successfully, please post here

Good luck I've had a transaction stuck for about 32hrs,no ones fault but mine for not checking fee first before sending. I've tried viabtc free and paid with donation to viabtc and still not confirmed. I'm ready to lose my damn mind.If anyone has any better services to get my transaction confirmed let me know. Oh and pushtx wants $256.00 they gotta be smoking something plus you gotta use alipay which I don't even think works with cards from my region.

ViaBTC tx accelerator is always beyond transaction limits !!! I rarely get a transaction accelerated, is the service so popular ? any other tx accelerator that can help ?
Sometimes I pay a good enough fee at the time of transaction, but then the network takes an hour to mine a new block, meanwhile many transaction are made in that hour with higher fees, delaying my confirmation even more !!!
Viabtc accelerator is really very popular since it is the only free service that offers tx acceleration but it is still slow even after using their service, transactions take 5 hours or more sometimes. There are also others that offer the same service but they dont offer it for free. I tried another tx accelerator site but they ask for 5$ just for them to accelerate my transaction so I guess I will stick with using viabtc.

what other service? i don't mind paying. pushbtc is trying to make me pay with some foreign service that i've never heard of and don't want to sign up for. any other options?

also i've used viabtc many times in the past. great service that works fine. it's just impossible to use now because theres 180k unconfirmed transactions. it works okay at around 60k unconfirmed from my experience.

Nowadays i have seen that even after the ViaBTC accelerate the transaction it is getting delay or not even getting confirmed. So i think what you said is correct that when the transaction was to get confirm in that time more other transaction take over on higher fees.

Anything can happen when there's always outside of the box thinking. Science and innovation all around the corner.

There's not really outside of the box thinking without modifying the network consensus rules. Transactions are included in blocks by miners. Period.

As for your religious beliefs, whether or not they do good things for you, remember that there is a wide variety of religious views represented on this forum, and that statement may not have the same meaning to someone else (even of a similar faith) as it does to you. There's no divine influence in cryptocurrency, only deterministic computation and consensus rules.
