In each discipline or profession, the more time we spend on learning it, the better we will be. However, it must not be forgotten that gambling, including card games, is not only based on knowledge, but mainly on luck. So no matter how much time we spend to learning, there will always be the possibility of losing out to someone much worse than we. Of course, the better we are, the more we reduce the risk of such loss.
And in fact this is what makes learning any gambling game to heart way more difficult, lets take as an example to ride a bike, at first you have no idea of what you are doing, but as you dedicate more time to it then you learn how to ride it effectively.
However what would happen if out of nowhere and for no reason at all you fell from the bike, and this was not an isolated event but instead something that happened quite often? That would make riding a bike harder as you would not understand why you are falling and what you can do to correct it, and something similar happens when we gamble, as even with the perfect strategy we an still lose our money due to the randomness of the games.
