I think there is a pretty good chance that the account is hacked as well (as is the case for the OP). I messaged him a while ago expressing interest and received a response saying that he didn't buy the email when he purchased the account he is selling (like that has to do with anything).

Well if he can produce a signed message associated with the account from prior to the hack then I would know that the account is not hacked. If he can't produce such a signed message then I obviously wouldn't want to buy from him.
