Since we purchase MHS paying in BTC, with this low BTC value 1 MHS is ~ 0.07 BTC
You can see that weekly income was NOT enough for all the expenses, so we used our own funds to finance everything !

We have discussed with team and investigated the possibility of changing algo (as bitwarrior was advised)
but we have found, there is no reason/sense to change.
Reasons:
As these days there are some news of Scrypt-N Asic miners available on the market, they can give some boost to the hashrate.
However since their price is very expensive yet, its not likely (at least not expected) to hit the market and change Scrypt-N hashrate significantly.
Therefore VMC is not in a danger due to them.
On the whole: We wouldnt get any benefit, with changing the algo, but it would be very difficult...
(just imagine how to calculate converting old (scrypt-n) coins to new (eg.: X11) coins ?)
but we have found, there is no reason/sense to change.
Reasons:
- Mining period of VMC will be over in may of 2015 (only 7-8 months left)
- Only with changing algo we possibly wont gain any hashrate. We focus on innovation and promotion instead...

We have won the voting on SwissCex last night, however they didnt add VMC to their market yet.
We have contacted them on Twitter and asked, when is it going to happen... ?

Then tell me why there is too many x11 coins? Is it not logic dictates that X11 has a larger adoption in the masses rather than scryptn?
This is precisely my point, I am suggesting for a larger crowd, larger crowd means more miners and more volume for VMC traders, thus more lively network hashes and more public adoption of the coin.
It has a sense.
I've been a miner (with VGA) for long months.
Now it is not so profitable anymore due to electricity cost.
With X11 algo, there is bit lower power consumption and reduced heat. This is the answer for its popularity, i believe.
These days (when SCRYPT-N Asic miners are coming) SCRYPT-N hashrate will grow again...

Any thoughts of changing the Algo? Lets say X11? Then do a merge mine with other coins when the time warrants it?
On what I see, SCRYPT-N has been loosing popularity and so the hashes is going down too.. the coin needs a healthy working network.
VMC needs a REBOOT IMO..
Its a good thing and a great decision you guys migrated from CEX.IO to a more profitable one.
This only means that the DEV do care for the coin, the investment and also about the traders and investors.

Sir, does not matter whether we use x11 or scryptn. If you have a gpu and the other person has a gpu then mining power proportions do not change - the same power proportions for scryptn and x11 you get - algorithm is neutral. Additionally there is too many x11 coins already and not much good scryptn coins. Additionally sgminer supports each algorithm and if somebody do not want to mine VMC using his gpu with sgminer for scyptn then he will not use it if it would be x11. algorithm changes nothing - the same coin, the same mining software, the same gpu number people would like to use to mine.
