I totally missed the point where icopress said the voting system is based on the IRV.
Using this system is totally fine, yet it should be clear to everyone, and based on an “official” statement by contest organiser(s), rather than speculation.
Hover over "voting" and you will see instant-runoff being mentioned. But yeah, maybe it could have been actually mentioned and not kinda hidden as there might be more like you that missed it.

For the voting system to work, any nominated pizza must have the support of at least three users.

The fun part is that I even quoted the OP looking for this kind of stuff, but I missed that “hidden” code.
Yes, I think you are right. This should be amended asap and made clear to everyone.

Based on how people are voting and how the pizzas are presented (in sequential order from 1, 2, 3…), someone can easily miss this point. Voting in order matters, and when scrolling from 1 to 112, you will automatically choose 5 pizzas in ascending order.

I agree that this needs to be highlighted more prominently, or something like this might help.

1st:__, 2nd:__, 3rd:__, 4th:__, 5th:__
Or
First:__, Second:__, Third:__, Forth:__, Fifth:__
Or
First Place:__, Second Place:__, Third Place:__, Forth Place:__, Fifth Place:__

We can't vote our own, right?
From the original thread:
So, are we voting for our own pizza?
This is allowed, but if I were you I wouldn't do it.  Cheesy

I'll be honest, I completely missed it as well, I had no idea the voting order was important. I see that many users wrote their preferences in a perfect numeric order, I guess they missed this part as well otherwise it would be quite a coincidence.

Bear in mind that not every browser correctly renders that code.
I am currently browsing via my iPhone, and of course I cannot see it, and I am almost sure the same is from Safari on MacOS.

If this piece of information is so crucial, why not report it clearly?

Anyway, as I said, not much damage was done, as there is plenty of time to put everyone on the same page.

EDIT: It works on Safari in Mac OS, but the popup appears after a second or so.

I'm really sorry that I wasn't able to include #97, it required huge effort and was my favorite for a while. #15 was really close as well.

Since we are here,  it would be nice to have some tie-braking criteria (what if two pizza end up with the same number of votes? Given the prize structure, avoiding doubts on the ranking system would be nice.
Since Instant-runoff voting system is used, I don't think that its possible to have a tie as the order of votes actually count so the one with highest number of first choices wins.

Not in particular order: (...)
FYI: With the vote-counting method that icopress has opted for (IRV), the order of your choices is important.
Mhh, I haven’t seen anything about it in the rules.
If the order of voting is important, this schould be clearly stated by @icopress. Not much harm doing so before ending of the voting, so that everyone get time to edit accordingly.
