First of All you need A rooted Android Mobile(Important)
Then
1) Clear the data of dropbox and uninstall it.
2) Then Download https://www.dropbox.com/s/6uvr48jwm2p6of1/Dropbox_CMW.zip?dl=0 And Copy This in Mobile!!

3) Flash the dropbox_cwm.zip from above link or you can extract that zip and manually copy the files and set permissions.

4)after rebooting, login to dropbox using your free account.

5) You will receive the email shortly from dropbox to claim 50 gb. Just follow the link in the email. You can have this bonus space for next 24 months.

Some notes before anyone flashes/uses this app:

1. It doesn't really matter what android version you're using, after flashing it will ask you to update the app. I wouldn't recommend that before logging in.
2. If you already had the 50GB for one year promotion on your account (from your Samsung device), this WILL NOT WORK THE SECOND TIME, as Dropbox says on the details about the promotion (tested and verified).
3. Theoretically, it shouldn't matter what phone you're using, as (I suppose) he extracted the app from a genuine Samsung phone and just made it flashable and there's little to no chance of doing any harm to the phone. Why? Because if your phone is rooted and you know how to flash files, you already know how to remove a system app.

I tried it but it didn't work for my account, as already stated at point 2.

Thanks for sharing anyway.

Does this work on the latest android m?

I see it will surely. What Anroid device do you have that has a 6.0 version? Are you sure you want to root that just to access this free space? Depends on the unit but rooting M is not yet fully supported by all devices running on M even it is universal. Although new force root for this are released.

htc m8 running google play edition rom rooted.
I flashed the zip but didn't get the 50GB space

Did you got the mail?? And did you completed the 5 tasks??
Because I am sure this method works!!

You can buy a 64 gb ush flash drive for less than $15.  Why would I want to trust a 3rd party with my data?  They can pull the 'free' amount at any time.

unless your 64GB flash drive is in the cloud then re think what your talking about.
I use it all the time to give people files
3rd party cant open my files

Also don't Forget to do at least 5 of the 7 tasks !!(Important)
Warning: Probably a dumb question!

What tasks are you referring to?

dropbox has tasks where you can get extra space. aka : https://www.dropbox.com/getspace
I did not have to do anything like that for this 48GB
all my other space was giving to me by the tasks 23GB total

1.) download the zip
2.) boot twrp or your recovery
3.) select zip
4.) flash zip
5.) reboot phone
6.) login to dropbox with the account you want the 48GB to go to ( seems you can only do this 1 per device unless some one knows a way around this )
7.) wait for dropbox to report your space on the website
8.) update your dropbox app
9.) enjoy 2 years of extra 48GB space

After receiving the mail (in SPAM folder) I was pointed to those 7 steps and needed to complete only one more. I did that and kaboom, free space.

Worked for me, thanks!!!

Just as I thought it will really work. The role of old apk is to fit with the low version of android.

Anyways, [B[just for a clearer view[/b] to me as Im confused, the bonus space is not forever right?? If that's so can we still accessed those files stored there aside from the default (lets say you reached limit before the you applied the bonus) if the bonus space will reached its validity?? Hope you got my question.
