Alts will surely recover and rise in price, but not everything depends on alts themselves, most of all depends on Bitcoin and its price on the market.
Our hope for this year all the altcoins will be re-inflated, and at the beginning of this year we can see the movement is already visible and we will all await at the price point that we expect, we expect this year there will be positive trends to break down Bitcoin and altcoin prices and for the investors of course this is very in the waiting, hopefully this year all our expectations will be realized
We all also hope that bitcoin and altcoin can again show their glory this year as in 2017, hopefully with the approaching halving day there will be a bull run that occurs so that the prices of bitcoin and altcoin can return to a positive path after a few months often a decrease in the price of bitcoin and altcoin caused by some negative news, and also a lot of frauds ICO happened so that it reduces the interest of investors to invest in new cryptocurrency projects.I believe that the time will come, slowly the altcoin starts to crawl up now and my hope is that by the end of the year it will be like this last year. The number of short positions fell to a historic low.This suggests that the bears have exhausted their strength, and perhaps soon we will see the growth! I hope so.
I think it will be too much to expect that all altcoins will rise cause there are only few altcoins that has the potential of being able to survive. We cannot expect everyone to patronize each and every altcoin in the market, some of them would totally be left out for sure. Since the halving is near, we can already conclude that there is a huge possibility that most of the altcoins that we have today would regain their value or increase even higher than its peak before. Let us keep on hoping and always stay optimistic about this matter for a better outcome. 
I am very sure that 2020 will be the year of the rise of altcoins, after two years of experiencing a bearish market. Now is the best
moment to show the price of altcoins will rise to the top. We will see recurring events like 2017, where altcoins experience a drastic
increase. Now actually already seen the price of altcoins have started to move up, although the increase can be considered small.
But it's a good sign, in my opinion now it's time we buy altcoins. Before the price will go up, but because investing in crypto the risk
is high. Then buy altcoins in a gradual way. Do not simultaneously use all the capital we have.

This is not new mate, in every new year, altcoin holders believed that altcoin will have risen this year, but from the past two years, we haven't seen much growth in altcoin! The crypto market depends on Bitcoin, so, we need to pray for Bitcoin price growth. If the halving can a bullish run in the crypto industry again like before then surely altcoin will have bull run too!
I'm also of the opinion that the value of altcoin would appreciate. The bull run has been long overdue and in great anticipation. Before long, we would begin to experience an increase in the value of Bitcoin which will help to improve the overall value of coins in the market.

Just suggested your brain that the bull run will come abruptly even I hope so the bull run will come at the end of this month. But I just wondering, have you prefer for it? Don't just expect the bull run will come but you don't have anything to make money in it, or you just some shitcoins on your wallet but never had any popular coin such as bitcoin, ethereum or litecoin. Can you see the prices cryptocurrency now? And you can compare with the all time high price of the coin then you will see there most coin that far from its all time high and that mean you have more opportunity to make a lot of money in it. Many have considered that this year is cryptocurrency year, you have been seeing many altcoin that have increased in the early of this year.
I am waiting as well, but I do believe not every Altcoin will survive only the one's who are actually adding something to Cryptocurrency.
Only the best ones will survive and I think that is the way it is supposed to be!

Maybe you mean 2 years ago during 2017, and all altcoin holders also hope that the same thing this year altcoin will rise again. Also if the price of BTC goes up, of course the price of altcoin will follow.

Well, many are expecting that an altcoin season will start this year and yes it can happen and it cannot too but if it will happen, I don't think that it will be the same as what happened last 2017. I'm not pessimistic with regards to altcoins but I still believe that most of the altcoins out there will end up either being a scam coin or a dead coin

Its good to think positive even there's no assurance if the market will turn bull as time passes for this year. We cant say for how long we're going to wait until we see some improvement, its been a while since we last witness the alts to rise. But one thing is for sure alts like the well established coins can make it to recover once the market started to improve but other alts that has no uses will remain at the bottom hence make sure that you're holding altcoins that is worth investing.

However, all indications are pointing towards a good year not only for Bitcoin, but for alts as well. I think as long as you stay away from the useless crap, you'll end up doing just fine and possibly even make more than you would had you invested in only Bitcoin. Don't get greedy and avoid things that no one has ever even heard of. That's how you end up losing all of your money.

nobody knows about the direction of crypto prices especially altcoin in the future. altcoin sessions can come, but not all altcoins have that opportunity. now there is a lot of shitcoin in exchange. I think bitcoin has left the bear market. but until now the altcoin session hasn't arrived yet. hopefully the altcoin session will come.
