The guy is a genius. He has garnered a lot of attention and social media following via the MSM news articles about his sacrifice to King Bitcoin soon to be ruler of the 100k throne. His monetizing of social media as he documents the adventures and experiences of his family Im sure will more than pay for any loss he might ever incur.

The base iPad is actually pretty competitively priced for the hardware (which is a shame because I loathe Apple).

I notice more posts urging Virgin Roach responders to self censor than actually urging to censor Virgin Roach. If people really are annoyed with him and want to censor him, than why not all get together and request infofront ban him. If you want to let him have free speech than why all the debbie downer chastising of those who gallantly engage with him in the name of the mighty King Bitcoin. Surely we deserve to have our say.

If you insist on letting the insane drunk at the bar act a fool, then dont guilt trip patrons of the bar for smashing his head against the wall when he acts up.

I also notice the same posters trying to get people to stop engaging him are also short term bearish and calling for new lows(maybe shorting on the sly too ehh..) .

It seems to be the "hell no muthafucka we aint going under 3k " believers taking on Virgin Roach atm.

In a bear market sure, its cool to sit back and let Virgin Roach drivel on about BTC heading to zero, but the Bull Market is here in many peoples opinions and its time to feed him estrogen and experiment on him as we head to 100k. Also my Jewish employers dont just pay me Bitcoin to hit the ignore button on their arch enemy ya know.

It appears shitcoiners are still trying to trick people into believing shitcoins are made of physical gold instead of being imaginary, valueless tokens.

He probably has way more BTC than most people here... Of course that is just MY speculation.

Apple products are expensive. You can tell that just by looking at the high margins they have, which they do have thanks to economies of scale that go directly to their profits account instead of a lower price for the customer. Other than that, Apple products are excellent.

Dude... An iPhone running $100 worth of apps from Korg (for example) is synth sound generation capability we couldn't have dreamed of at any price even in dedicated HW little more than a decade ago. Add a couple free metronome and tuner apps, serious memo recorder for capturing ideas, guitar amp sims (external converter desired - impedance mismatch between pickups and mic input make for lousy signal), drum machines, MIDI remappers, BandHelper, ... it just goes on and on.

The miracle of personal computers is that they do more than Fortran calculations - they've become incredible multipurpose extensions of our personal capabilities. And the miracle of smartphones is that they do more than make phone calls - they're general purpose computers with a full suite of IO that's with you at all times.

Hmm... this branch took kind of a weird turn, considering all I really wanted to say was 'I can understand that choice of platform is a singular thing, but to call Apple products flawed incapable garbage is nonsense'.

My hope is that it would be SV. As time goes by, hope diminishes. I will continue to think big blocks is the proper scaling solution regardless of the outcome.

If SV or ABC hit anything approaching 100k, I win extra-bigly. If BTC approaches 100K, I win something less bigly. Either way, future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.

For all I know, you still can't, at least with the stock OS. It simply wasn't designed with realtime in mind. I think there was some experimental kernel that supposedly took care of that, but I never checked it out.

However, I use my phone mostly for... uh, calls and some texts. And I much prefer hardware than obeys to me first, and to its maker second. With Apple it always feels like it's the other way around.


One exception about plugins: a zero-latency reverb if the singer needs it to feel comfortable and you're going 100% ITB.

I have some mistrust for laptops, but maybe it's just me. 50 simultaneous tracks at 96k... it just doesn't feel right.

And I agree, the room is the first issue. Take care of that, and only then think about boutique mics, preamps or converters.
