(p.s. it's a parody!)

That's not a fucking parody. It's just the reality.

We all knew there was a very real possibility that Bitcoin would never take off. Maybe, at times, we fooled ourselves into thinking that it was going to change the world... a "new paradigm" (ha!) that would make us all very wealthy at the same time.

We had one final flash bang when it reached almost $20K. It was absolutely obvious that was the end, but we did not want to see it. Again, we fooled ourselves.

We thought we were being smart while we were just selling incorporeal nothingness to each other for higher and higher prices until the Ponzi finally imploded.

Current price is just the echo of that final explosion that is increasingly fading into absolute silence. Just silence. A devastating one.

We are all just a bunch of delusional losers.

Accept it. Move on now.

Difficult to know what December 2018 and thereafter is going to bring in terms of BTC price performance, but I am having some doubts that in the short-term shorting BTC is going to be nearly as lucrative as it was in either 2014 or 2018...   but what do I know?

The medium to long term price is relatively easy to predict... only shorter term is difficult.

However, atm the price is in a very steady downtrend, so expect more of the same. The only interruption will be the odd sharp rally over the next few months, but the trend is still down.

Actually, I am ready to concede about the bear market characterization of the current BTC market.    Cry Cry
If even JJG is capitulating, we might be near already.

Did the whole 20k to 4K thing not quite make its mark ?

(Answers on a postcard,or better still a postage stamp.)

His concession makes this whole thing now bullish.

I am buying like a mother fucker now!  /S

Clueless!
bitcoin was such an amazing idea, so much potential...

it's failure is seriously bumming me out

the idea won't die. the OPEN SOURCE version, however, may..if BTC chokes..when banks co-opt blockchain with no other option..they will likely save 75% to 90% in costs for

moving $$$ about. In that they get 2% here there or whatever when anything is moved...and it would be automatic with the bank and big money control of their

centralized ..probably patented blockchain equivalent token....well...can you say MULTI Trillionaires ..if say in 10 years they can get rid of 50% of the costs of running

a bank and charge 2% a transaction for essentially automatic and free movement around the world?

sh*t...I would expect the 'dark ages' to start soon thereafter with that much power in the top 1%.

but yeah, if there is no open source alternative to a centralized bank controlled blockchain ...we are pretty much f*cked

(looking like the backup retirement plan of being a 'minimalist' is in play now..if BTC tanks to 1k or some such..alas...one extreme or the other..it is how I roll) Sad

As usual, the buy support on drops mostly exists ONLY on the fraudulent exchange Bitfinex.  Nothing fishy to see here!

Bitfinex is certainly dodgy. They've admitted as much with their talk about needing to bank like criminals. What have they really done that's fraudulent though?

LN is nothing new. We know it from old banking / settlement / clearing / netting process.

the only new and proven thing is pure on chain.

Why kicking that ?

-> Some devs want to be better than Satoshi and some miners / exchanges want a lot of different coins.

There is incentive to operate LN nodes though, so it's not just permissioned by banks. Does it look like hub and spoke now? What's wrong with settlement to the blockchain if/when you need?

Wow $3700 what is this bullshit.

That already broke, we gonna retest 3400 and then test 3k soon.

Looks pretty likely now.

Any chance of a double bottom? No?

Forget the double bottom, check out bitcoin shorts:

We should be able to get a good bounce... soon.

Wahou!

That's an incredible graph! Where did you get that from? Oo

If that's true that means should open a long right now...

Clueless!
Fuck I need to stop checking prices when i'm away.
Off to the tables to try to break even from the market. Smiley

folk probably know this anyway...but my 'floor' is what I mined on my original KNC Jupiter BTC miner from back in the day that cost me $5,131.80 with shipping.

ALL my HODL and whatever for the last 5 years came from that initial investment. (Sure did not make it from my job with a group home for dev blind developmentally disabled).

Thus (should probably NOT say the amount..people get miffed).....that is my FLOOR.

the HEAT DEATH of the UNIVERSE will happen 1st before I sell those coin. (Ya got to draw the line someplace)

and I have gotten enough out of this to retire 3 years early with cash set aside etc till the middle of 2019 when I can take retirement traditional $$$ if nothing else.

and of course the last 5 years have been more fun since I was in college helps, that helps quite a bit Smiley

But, chump or champ. Make some 'borders' on how you are gonna face this ..if it all goes to sh*t for a few... years...

(talking to my CPA today, I did set enough aside for sales and mining but gonna get my ass chewed anyway) Sad

1) ass-covering, check.

2) set amount of crypto they will have to pry from my cold dead hands, check.

3) still can stay retired 2-3 years early. check

4) preparing for a coming recession. in progress.

Yes, I have. At least for the important stuff, like exchanges and the like. Writing down a 12 words recovery phrase takes much longer btw.

I would feel fucked up if I didn't have a backup. #DYOR

I just print the QR codes and put them in cold storage. Easy to reseed a phone that way.

BOOM!

Is the December figure an estimate or only for the first five days?

What a poor scam.  No onchain safety - sold with a nice Bitcoin label....
Hows your Bcash doing?

Going the real Satoshi Vision - no max block size - no segshit , no LN, no ABC crap ...  just sports

*sigh* Layer 2 is really not optional.  It's going to be where all the whizbang functionality lives.  BCH SV will suffer from the same fate Ethereum is currently... that is if it even gets off the ground after the artificial support ends.

Nope

Eth issues are turing complete.

Is that you rOach?

Since most of you don't have sufficient intelligence to branch predict the only possible way certain crypto systems can evolve, here is your trojan horse, permissioned ledger Lightning Network:
