This is just whales fucking with the bears and bulls.  I’m staying out of this chop.

What should be their goal if this is true?

They drive down the price from 6,5k to 3,5k to buy more coins ... OK

But now they have devastated the market and there is basically no one left to buy the market up to 6,5k again.

So they are not making a cent out of this.

What’s your prediction for the price in early Jan buddy?
I’m not trading on any advice, just interested. You seem to be close to ‘on point’ most times.

Expected to wake up to some sort of recovery but no, we’ve tanked even further $3,594.

Can we confirm this is capitulation yet?

I’ve got £40,000 fiat savings, was thinking about buying in maybe another £10,000-£15,000 worth but I don’t think I have the heart to see that evaporate into -50% or something in about a week.

Think I’m going to stick with my HODL stash & buy £250 bi-weekly as planned.
This market is a black hole atm.

I really would not buy at the moment.

This can easily go below 3k in a couple of hours.

And even if there is some small recovery to 4k, you won't loose much when you don't buy now.

BTC + Crossfit, living life.
In the coming week I'll be reallocating capital from other projects I have to put it in bitcoins. Current price level is a lifetime opportunity that should not be missed!

WoW just woke up and got around 14 pages to read, but yes its a lifetime oppotunity, however i read about so many people to buy the dio and: Buy,Buy,BUY etc
only thing needed = start buying Smiley , spread the coins more and more under the people and for new BTC users do not hesitate for buying cause prices are so F***ing low @this moment ....
please just don't dip on this sunday while i have a small hangover, wait an hour or 2 before any action ......

stick to the weeklys, big chunks well kill you emotion wise if it continues down.

I think I agree.

@mindrust - Agree also. Not worth the risk is it. We’ve already lost so, so much in unbanked gains.

I also got around $60k in my bank account but i wouldn't do sharp movements. Just ride the tide. Dollar cost averaging usually works with every situation.

I am sticking to my plan and buying $1-2k every month. (Depending on my mood)

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
Probably, but... Look at the order books.

I wouldn't know.  I don't look at them.

I do. And I know all the ways it can mean nothing but.... current proportion in bids vs asks is really big. Just saying.

It's a reverse indicator... so it cannot really mean that much to have a lot of buy orders and a thinned out ask-side.

XXXVII Fnord is toast without bread
Looks like Bitcoin is getting ready to take a dive below $3600 on Bitstamp
Currently $3636

because USDT 0.94$

That should cause a rally not a dump.

7   Tether Tether   $1,772,824,008   $0.981401   $4,099,050,090   1,806,421,736 USDT *   -0.36%

Whoever posted the link with screaming sun couple of days ago thank you ! I didnt even know this series existed. downloaded first season and just now finished watching 6th episode - it fit very well with today's market carnage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evYxx8qjZFs

Cry fucking idiots still holding these worthless digital beanie babies.  IT will continue to crash, are you idiots just going to hold to zero?
I will not just hold. I will keep buying all the way down :p

off to bed soon; im giving it 60% chance that when i come in the morning, price will be back above 4k finex. if we continue down, ~3250 is my next buy area.

O.k?  Why we use finex as our BTC price reference point?

If it is not above $4k bitstamp, then why would it matter if it above $4k finex?

I guess being above $4k finex would assume being above $3,800 bitstamp or maybe $3850-ish?
coz i bought it there; yes that would be about 3800 stamp. but it didnt come back overnigt..
..so, what about some end-of-the-weekend pump? :p

That first bounce is a bit optimistic don't you think?

the price became too early 3600, now there will be a strong correction upward

if bitcoin falls because of the risk of attack 51, then why does the ETH fall too, it should grow on the contrary

Please all imagine those giant green candles that are ready to pop up when "institutionals" will get officially on board. Everything happens for a reason and I think this got well planned all along. The parabolic rise in 2017 was unreal as this 2018 drop.
Expect fireworks when Etfs and bakkt shit will take off.
That's how I see it.
Bitcoin is an asset for the institutionals. They can't control the instrument (they don't even get it) but sure as hell they can control the price.

Am I being dumb here?

Imagine you were one of those institutional guys (which already are unofficially in BTC). WOuld you trust your funds into an instrument that can tank because for example two morons decided to do a hard fork some time? Or that the price can tank just because a kiddo was playing with the security of some exchange and managed to hack it? just two of the numerous "childhood diseases" of btc.
