Btw, if the famous bear Peter Tchir is bullish (https://www.forbes.com/sites/petertchir/2018/07/22/is-this-bitcoin-rally-for-real/#6d1b7c2e3b3b) you know that something big is coming up in the next weeks.

Skimmed this and some of his stuff and he seems to be a calm and sensible voice.

I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going.
I can't see any pictures posted in the thread either, avatars and everything else is showing just fine. An image in thread loads and when it's showing time, then just goes blank.

OT : Oh look, in the country that brags about not having the gun violence and terrorism of the U.S.

They have gun violence and terrorism too. What a shock.  Roll Eyes

No one here has been smug about being above it for a long time. The problems that led to your Donald will lead to our Donald. Resources are thin. It's only a matter of time before the tension between the poors that are already here and all the poors we keep inviting in gets to snapping.

Edit: or are you using our national tragedy to bolster support for your personal handguns fetish? Please don't do that.

Interesting read thanks

FAFT standards for crypto

At  the  same  time,  central  banks  are  reviewing  how  to  improve  and modernise existing central bank operated payment systems. Central banks can encourage and catalyse improvements to current arrangements, as has happened recently in the field of faster payments.

However, responding directly to the challenge with a central bank digital currency
(CBDC) would be an entry into uncharted territory

We see how there strategy works after this guy trump is through with them, always fun watching this guy tear up some old school monopolies

As mentioned by the chairman above develop a new framework, may mean no regulation at all - Web 3.0, not base done the old way

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
I sent a transaction today that was just a donation so I set the fee to 2 sat/b and it went through the next block.

3 cents.

Segwit address I'm assuming?

Mcafee predicted $15k by the end of July at the latest...so he only has about a week for the price to double.

For once I'd like to hear someone admit it was the cocaine talking.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?
So last week I got the dreaded "verify your source of funds from cryptocurrency" letter.
I had made some sales in the first quarter and they just got around to asking me now.

I will not name any institutions.
The information I provided was approved, but it really highlights the need for permission-less money. ( Bitcoin )
Proof of mining was acceptable along with some purchase data.

interesting. i cashed out a pretty good sum in one shot (well took a week due to limits) early this year, bank had no problem. even talked to them to say i could come in with proof of source (mining, gpu card receipts, logs to pools, payout data and signed addresses etc). but they never even blinked.

but having proof ahead of time is a good idea. sooner or later someone will ask.
