All good things to those who wait
So... this means I have to start thinking about making an actual career and stuff? Sad

We may have to shelve plans on that 10 bedroom mansion with 25 acres of land until 6-12 months after the halving, yes.

Well, some whale lost his patience, so what? May be he is an early adopter, or may be he bought at 18K-ish and now is furious he lost so much  Grin The price will recover sooner or later. I am still determined to start selling for a house at 40K-ish price. And I will hold 2/3 BTC's until I retire. I don't care if the 2014-2015 scenario will repeat or not. Btw, there are 3 differences:
In 2015:
1.  most of the people didn't know about bitcoin, let alone buying it. Now most of the people know and are thinking about buying. May be they are waiting for a good price or LN  Wink
2.  no hope for Institutional investments. Now Coinbase, Van Eck Associates Corp., SolidX, Goldman and Sachs are ready to start deals.
3.  miners were still very profitable, while now they are on the edge. As from today all home miners in countries with electricity price >0.14$ lost their profit. Soon the rest will follow. Usually this means a coordinated attack to pump the price. We'll see...

Support at $7175 looking strong. Probably we're gonna see a jump now but I'm literally tired of seeing stupid head of Mr. Bart Simpson again and again.

...man now I really hope it's just another big effing head of Mr. Bart Simpson.

Nah man, its time for new lows. Market is dead. Below 7000 in 24 hours, below 6000 in 72 hours, below 5000 this time next week.

Nope.  Wink

Hey!

Why don't you all try to see the positive side of this dump?

It is more cheap coins for everbody!

BTFD!

In really basic terms with a rising population of Bitcoin users the price is less relevant then the basic supply and demand.    More demand and declining supply so yea buy, double check you believe utility of BTC justifies the view of a rising population of users but if you do this advice is perfectly reasonable.

I think price on the exchange is seperate to other factors.  We had VISA deny transactions for many hours across its network nationally the other day, a major failure.   All those people stranded on toll roads and petrol stations without money did have mobile phones, an ideal situation for a crypto transfer; highlighting the benefits to alternate global networks.    We still big questions and upsets in global politics ongoing that relates to USD remaining a global reserve, allowing other competitors to likely appreciate.    A possible repeat of the 1930's trade war/tariffs that likely caused the great recession, that could be a really bad trigger.  Where as Bitcoin is not political currency.  Bitcoin transcends various regimes and their self bias.

However none of the long term means we have to rise here particularly but I think to average into a price is fine.    Its a general investment strategy.    https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/dollarcostaveraging.asp

I wish I had done this in Intel for example.  I do own some at a good price, but I should have bought into growth and now be averaging out as its a very high price now.    BTC has growth similarly

yes
This is the second dip in the intermediate bottoming cycle. If we hold $7,000, I see price higher in 14 days instead of lower (the ensuing rally could go over $9,000).
There were a lot of dips a few weeks ago and $7000 held quite fucking steady, i won't be surprised if it gets close, real close but I expect$7400 soon as well.

Whoops, a bit lower than expected but I still think this is one of the better 'bottoms' for a speculative intermediate buy. The indicators have bottomed already and seem to be making a bottom again higher than the preceding short term bottom with the price making a lower bottom than the preceding higher bottom. I.e., possibly a tradable divergence.

But Bitcoin (and dumpers) can always surprise us  Cool
