Those of you planning to trade the new altcoin for bitcoins, be careful not to harm your privacy in the process.

I, personally, think Bitcoin Cash is an elaborate scheme to link otherwise mindful bitcoiners to all of their addresses.

Take the necessary precautions.

See here for more explanation
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6p5439/bitcoincash_and_chain_analysis/dkxy1pg/

the lack of true fungibility will bite everyone in the arse sooner or later, no need to blame bitcoin cash.

... and there we have it. The first in the much predicted new round of attacks on bitcoin.

'oh that shit ain't fungible, see, so what we really need is a NEW bitcoin, let's call it BitcoinAnonymous', fork off from ghastly corecoin and rule the world ... anybody?'

No, fuck off, it's fungible and there's no taint or title in bitcoin.
I think most people agree fungibility is an issue in bitcoin. IIRC, the vast majority (if not all) of Core does as well.  That doesn't mean this won't become a hotly debated issue,  probably a lot more contentious than smallblocks versus bigblocks.  The longer we wait, the more "normies" and less "revolutionaries" will be involved in crypto, and the more contentious this becomes.

Quote
CEO of Never Stop Marketing, Jeremy Epstein thinks that the current market behavior is as a result of the growing confidence of Bitcoiners about the technology as a long term phenomenon. Epstein tells Cointelegraph:

“I think that the reason for a relatively stable market at this time is the fact that more and more people are getting comfortable with the idea of Bitcoin over the long-term.

They realize that this is a short-term disruption and it is a feature, not a bug, of the way that the system operates. As a result, people are playing patience and they recognize that the age of decentralization is truly upon us so they can tolerate some of these challenges in the near term.”

i just wait patiently to sell the bitcoin cash right after the spit. do you know any exchange to do so ?

I wouldn't bother, the first BCH block may take hours to be found, and once found there will be a race to dump on exchanges, plus people who already had their BTC on the exchanges that support BCH may have already have been able to sell.

i could not agree more with you. but you know, better sell the same day than sell 2-3 days after and get nothing Smiley

Sometimes, I state facts, and sometimes, I render opinions. I try not to exaggerate, I don't make up facts, and I try to keep my conclusions rational. When challenged, I produce rationale for my statements. Sometimes, I even get things wrong, but I always try to be truthful.
...

Not always. Sometimes you list your own lies neatly for everybody to see:

Those are not lies. That was posted in response to Lauda, who claimed something akin to 'jbreher never before made the claim that fully-validating, non-mining wallets add little to no value to the network as a system'. So that listing was refutation to Lauda's lies.

If you think that that fully-validating, non-mining wallets provide any benefit to the network as a whole, you do not understand Bitcoin. The only power such a wallet has is to amputate itself from the rest of the network.
