Coinbase is like $100+ higher than most of the major exchanges right now. I feel like it's 2013 again checking the price every 5 mins. Lol

Exactly what price?

There are significant gaps between major dollar exchanges. Some exchanges not in dollar are operating above $2800
Bitcoinaverage for me, and of course whichever exchange you personally use. Who cares what the chinks are doing.

What is happening with Bitfinex and Bitstamp? Finex used to be $100 ahead of everyone else, now they are even with everyone except Stamp, that is $100 ahead of everyone.

I suppose Bitfinex corrected the withdraw issue and Bitstamp will be renamed as Bullstamp?

Stamp crossed $2600  Shocked

And we hit $3500CAD according to Google.  Shocked

Those ladder rungs are really getting closer together.

edit: Now $3567CAD less than 20 minutes later. Wow.

Appears we are well into the exponential phase of the bull run. The doubling in the last 30 days means it is well advanced, without a significant correction around these levels (anywhere from here up to 3600) the blow off from here may be only a matter of 3-4 weeks of insane bull left, culminating in somewhere near $9588-10k target of luc's for the blow-off top for this adoption wave. Huge volumes of new money will keep flooding in until the doubling time-scale gets less than the time-scale for new entrants to enter the market (exchange delays, transfer processing delays will all be factors in limiting the ultimate flow rate of new money into the market that sets the lower limit on the final doubling-time scale) .... and then the infrastructure will receive it's best new market signal of what scale of hardware/software/support capacity roll-out it will need to sustain the next adoption wave (circa 2020 halving plus 9-12 months?), given that the size of the market demand is still relatively infinite compared with the current in situ infrastructure necessary to cope with the burgeoning growth of demand now being witnessed.

In the alternate case of a significant correction in the next 2-3 weeks then a new assessment will be warranted.

tl;dr $9588-10k target got it

How nice. A pleasant little $75 correction and most of the way right back up again.

That's the second proper correction in less than 6 hours.

No bubbles here. Now let's see another new ATH.

 Cool

Looks quite wobbly at the moment. Could go either way but I think up.

There we go. There's our new ATH.

Gotta love it.  Cool

Just hit another sell point. A biggie this time. Enough for quite the nice vacation, and my stash is bigger than ever.

Odds of hitting 5k before we dip again for a while?

I thought about it, and couldn't see any problems. I was kinda worried that they didn't ask for a signed address instead of the stupid idea of asking for the private key tho.
They needed the btc address (to confirm I deserve the CLAM) - I don't see what extra info they get with the private key.

Did I miss something?

You could perfectly well prove you have a private key by using it to sign something.

They are either lazy or there is some other angle.

If there was an exchange I trusted, I believe I would slowly start selling a few coins at this point with the intentions of buying them back for less in the future.

Since no such thing exists, I can't do my small part to help flatten the spikes in the exchange rate, which I have been well trained to believe are inevitable at some point.

Oh well... I'll watch the rallies with nervous jubilation and endure the troll infested bear markets with quiet disgust... from over here, in my corner... all cozy in my straitjacket.

I hope that BTC still has some juice left in it for couple of weeks. It has done wonders to more profitable and entertaining markets. These swings are the reason why the crypto market is worth it's time. Moved out of ETH again, and back into XRP. I hope this game won't end anytime soon..

Ok guys, I have finally got my free CLAMS, so it was for real. Got 28 CLAMS for the six addresses I could find that were applicable. That's around 100€... Free money I love it Smiley

Btw, I used Just-Dice to do the claim as gentleman posted, after trying several times to sync the clam wallet to no avail.

After getting over the creepy feeling involved in extracting and send the private key, I did this also.
You know you don't need a CLAM wallet (and no need to sync) if you use shapeshift.io? If you leave the clam address empty, say 'withdraw', it makes a clam address for you to enter on the just-dice.com site...

Perhaps this is my tinfoil hat speaking but......aren't you worried about the "paper" trail you are submitting to this exchange of private key for CLAM? Much like when the Coca-Cola created this huge online photo album of people's faces in order to find their "doppelgangers," not for a huge facial recognition system instead.

I thought about it, and couldn't see any problems. I was kinda worried that they didn't ask for a signed address instead of the stupid idea of asking for the private key tho.

Did we double btc use? Btc demand?

Probably. Between new demand worldwide (e.g. S. Korea, Brazil) and institutional interest due to legal changes in places like Japan and Australia,

demand is soaring.

Couple that with fixed supply of new coins and reluctance of holders to sell and you're bound to have rising prices.

My favorite local sources have already run out of coins.

We also had the halving. That was priced in at the time but it had to catch up sooner or later.
