Amazingly, this is the record that the price had already passed $1450. I think the trend of rising prices will continue until the end of this year.

Flippin' burgers since 1163.
The funny thing is if/when Bitfinex actually solves it's banking issues (and therefore proves to be USD solvent), there will be a price correction.

Any projections for this uncharted territory? New support building at $14xx+?

Yeah I think mayn of us were waiting for un update. Finally we got it. Thanks for sharing.
In terms of the price, building out a new bottom around 1400 would be great. But it's still too early imo and that BitFinex issue still isn't solved and feels a bit like the sword of damocles. This won't have such an impact as Mt.Gox had in 2014 but definitely could do enough harm in terms of future price and trend development.

The Bitfinex issue should be meaningless in comparison to MtGOX for several reasons. Not only there are way more exchanges out there, but also there has been enough enough time and advices to get out of there already. I supposse that after MtGOX lesson, most have already learn the risks.

If anyone loses any money when/if Bitfinex goes belly up it is because they don't really care about it or because they are shorters that are willing to sink with the ship.

Also if it really goes under, it will probably die with one final big spike upwards.

Terminated.
Thx Lauda, unfortunately the pic doesn't work anymore, i think the price is to high with all those extra zero's Cool
I didn't have time to modify it so that it works on the forum too, but someone else did in the meantime.

Rumor is if Finex hits $1600 it will rocket to $2000 with all those shorts destroyed. Followed with a (weekend) dump to sub $1400 or $1300 is plausible.
Finex was above $1600 yesterday. Didn't you catch that?

thank you Lauda  Wink
You are welcome.

About projections: until I don't see the finex thing solved in one way or another I don't know what is going to happen and if we'll keep $1400.

Support building above $1400 would be a very good indicator IMO.

Clueless!
Wow, what an evil genius you are, Searing!  Can I be your white cat?  Grin

hey ..there is NOT a chance in hell it will work....esp with bitmain taking my miners back L3'd back paid for on april 1st so they
could mine and try to stop seg witness..... for 6 weeks of hash lost and 1/3 difficulty rise...and/or
mining what I got for replacement units this last month on the L3+'s...but hey a guy can dream....

(frigging trouble with being 'evil genius' is that there is always someone better at it than you are at it)

But anyway, the plan is still on going (thou the cat is pissed..I"m pissed..and generally everyone is pissed who dealt with bitmain..live an learn)

Is the rally over now?  Was that it?  Is Bitcoin dead??  Tongue

well my 'evil plan' is working:)

btc is at $1,493 as we speak....

ltc is at $15.12 (what I'm mining) and not dumping as bad as other alts.

so mining paying back to get to 100 btc and would like to hold 1000 ltc (in case it pumps)

so ......worse case I'll run back to my ltc to btc mode of last 2 years and grab btc again

(this evil genius thing has a lot going for it..megalomania/drama/$$$/mystery/etc.....and of course the constant risk of 'gasp' bears in the tulips!)

All is well, I tell you all is well......

(hmmm..need a pet white cat to pet...and a monocle .......evil genius cred demands such)

Could be good to hold what you mine, for now Smiley

yeah...holding the LTC still not moving it yet....conflicted.....evil plan is 'unraveling' .......FOMO vs FOFFUP

sheesh ..2 more days 'supposedly' L3+'s ship. So do I go with my last 2 years of mining LTC and converting to BTC still? Get back to 100 btc?

0r hold LTC as a hedge in case (say 1000) ...in case ..the bitcoin devs of any flavor......NEVER get their act together and this continues to drag on...block size matters etc (ie btc dev power games again of any flavor)..that happens imho LTC will pump big time.

Hard to know what to do (whatever I choose is wrong therefore if I choose the opposite it to0is wrong....double faking myself out) Sad

edit: actually below says it all on what I need......for my evil genius plan to work better

Come on developers! I think the price is just waiting and when SegWit and LN become activated, we will all buy Lambos  Cool. But really, the price then should go ballistic...

I want the price to go up so high my ears pop Smiley

BTC market is annoyingly heavy and weak. The motivating bullrun that was meant for yesterday, turned out to be something embarrassing. Maybe it will get a small spike upwards today, but it seems more like the party is already over. Maybe something fun will happen with LTC and other retro-coins till the newer cryptos correct themselves.

bfx goes from 1550 to 1473 in an instant, and then over half an hour climbs back to 1550 ... I'm no TA expert, what does that mean?

There's hardly anyone there any more other than trapped shorters?
It just means that the Japanese are buying the weak hands coins. They will never see those btc back anytime soon. Expect some serious action soon guys, Japanese are crazy on the market. Some real loose canons around there.  We will see some hillbilly trading like btc hasnt seen for a while. Lock & load guys. Load and load...

I think you're right, it's a bullish indicator. Whether someone did it on purpose or not, we see that the market's response to a mini flash crash is to go right back up, not trigger a bunch of panic sells

Also it's interesting to compare the exchanges. The biggest drop was bitfinex, followed by bitstamp. the rest of the exchanges didn't fall nearly so much. I'm sure there's some pro out there who can look at that and can infer useful information on the capacity of various arbitrage channels.

It might just mean, that some exchanges are still waiting for their correction. We have seen the same thing couple of days before western exchanges broke old all time high.

We should seek higher volume shake up before picking up steam again.

Kraken wasn't that much affected because it is lagging/has lower price than Bitstamp. Same happens with BTC-e. So the dips are somewhat cushioned. Tomorrow will be the day euro deposits start to hit the exchanges.

Looks like there's still some margin longs left...

p.s. hope you don't mind my fork of your kittinger  Wink

I wonder what proportion of active traders have left there by now. If only they upped their communication there would be a lot more confidence despite their woes.

And I feel my Kittinger is more ethereal, but at least neither of ours has a Red Bull logo.
They will FOMO or left behind or lose everything at alts. Seems that FOMO is the best option for those noobs
