'The right to privacy matters'
Look I have been here a long time the forum is more of a place to sell your signature then anything else.

At times I did edit:  think this was terrible, but bitcointalk is one of the few if only places to make some coin selling your signature. So I am not looking for the merit system to die or the signature space to die anymore.

I would like a way to reduce clutter on the site and if i recall correctly the ignore button does the trick.

A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.

Fun fact, nutildah gave me my very first merit ever, which ultimately brought me to the WO. #such.joy

oh the irony.

Merit cycling guy mad other people are getting merits. Oh the horror! Soon people will have merits that made comments about the price of Bitcoin instead of circle jerking other merit sources. What ever will the community do? How will we recover? The damage those merits will do will outlast Bitcoin itself! Take cover!

While I am not against anyone making money with signature campaigns (there seem to be enough campaigns to go around for everyone), do you not see that merits serve as nothing but spam fuel nowadays? And many campaign managers seem to either not care as long as they get paid or they are not able to do anything against it. Perhaps you actually enjoy scrolling through a sea of stolen Twitter memes and automated, generic AI-prewritten garbage? I am developing a short-attention-span from all the merit parasites and their empty white noise posts.

The fact that the most annoying, spammy, most-often-blocked characters seem to agree with your thinking should tell you something.

Seems like $26,000 is the new steady-state price... For how long? "Please, Bitcoin, do something!" etc., etc.

It always locks on round numbers. Must be human psychology. Would be interesting to see the price lock at $26,450 for a change. Or, even better, lock at $264,500.

(Most) folks just tend to be drawn to simplicity.
I confess, me too. "Buy and hodl" is my favourite  Cheesy

Back in the early days, I used to set limit prices based on the digits of Pi or other math constant. Like $314.159. It was fun to spot the transaction as it went through in the order book. Now I just do round numbers like the rest of us.

PS: This could even be an OPSEC issue I guess (but I bet there are many more OCD types out there)...

Yep, all my buy prices end in XXXXX.88

If you see those on the buy books, you know it is me! Smiley
