I also feel that something could be about to happen, no chart analysis or anything just a hunch. We usually see a sustained period of low volatility before a big move. Lets hope we see some positive price movement soon.

sell walls have moved significantly

buying 5747btc will push bitstamp to 1150 as opposed to $874 on the 30th September

Not much movement on walls as everyone knows, approx. buy/sell walls on bitstamp - buy side stacked to 300, sell side stacked to 850

fundamentals clearly point to market collapse and everyone in position for the fall

bitcoin following gold price now for over 18 months,

recent article explains whats happening and what to buy

https://www.rt.com/business/361575-central-banks-vegas-casino/

buy side a little thinner, sell side alot thinner, green shaded band has met yellow line

check em https://bitcoinity.org/markets

previously

bitstamp

what happens when the green shaded peaks meet back down to the yellow line, seems to be occurring again

it has been about 45-60 days, and there is no volatility . this is good for the future of bitcoin but also this is so boring.

and there is no news about the future of bitcoin.

The last time bitcoin had such low volatility was mid April.

Good things happened soon after.

It's actually at the lowest 60 day BTC/USD volatility it has ever been.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"

Here's something other than this thread for people to stare at with their mouths hanging open. It's presented by the bloke who wrote Digital Gold which I really rate.

The content description in the linked article seems pretty interesting, and reveals that all parts of the six episodes series is coming out next week with two episodes released on 10/10.

Plenty. I just find it weird that people seem to put so much weight on mined coins. There seems to be constant confusion between supply and production. There are of course less new ones arriving every day. That doesn't mean the ones that have been already produced suddenly float away like magic.

Yep, exactly.

Any analysis concerning overall price pressures remains greatly incomplete if it fails to account for existing supply along with daily increased supply.

Also, in the end, there are considerable difficulties knowing exactly the various price pressures on bitcoin.  We can look at changes in the volume on various exchanges and transactions on the blockchain, but we cannot really know for sure if there are some parties holding back and preparing to pump in one direction or another - however, if we see increased trade volume, we can attempt to assess that there may be testing of the price in one direction or another.

Overall, if all factors are kept constant (assuming), after a few months, the actual halvening seems like it is going to inevitably put upwards price pressures on bitcoin, whether we can exactly perceive when it kicks in or not.

So there are only BTC1.8k new BTC mined daily. Volume wise we got about:
BTC4k @ Bitfinex USD/BTC
BTC4k @ Btc-e USD/BTC
BTC3k @ Stamp USD/BTC
BTC3k @ Coinbase USD/BTC
BTC3k @ Kraken EUR/BTC
BTC1.8k daily Gemini auction
BTC1k @ LocalBTC USD/BTC

or about BTC20k/day volume from somewhat believable sources

+BTC21MM CNY/BTC

and that's with a stable price in last 3months. Where is the volume coming from?  Huh can't be same people selling to themselves just to pay exchange fees

I think it is one thing only: fractional-reserve
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/dataexchanges-their-way-of-using-a-fractional-reserve-and-generate-inflation-945881

Read that thread and most of your questions will be answered. At first I would not believe that was happening but it is.

But that's exactly why Finex implemented the the multisig with BitGo for easy auditing.. right?  RIGHT?? Roll Eyes

I personally would like to have an answer for that but I don't: But I definitely quote the following

Quote
Q: I don’t believe you, I don’t understand the problem and I don’t really mind. Are you just another conspiracy theorist?

A: We’re not conspiracy theorist and whether or not you don’t get our point it’s in your best interest not to store your BTC in any third party exchanges for too long.
Do you want to be the next Mintpal, Mt.Gox, Bitstamp etc. sad customer?

So, even more if you think we said a bunch of bullshits just bear in mind our golden rule

DO NOT HOLD YOUR BTC ON THIRD PARTY EXCHANGES – BE YOUR OWN BANK

Because there's over 15 million potential other coins ready to be sold?
Really?
Do you have any idea how many dollars, euros, pounds, yen and potential other fiat is ready to be sold?

Because there's over 15 million potential other coins ready to be sold? And why wouldn't the same bunch of people be buying and selling the same coins to each other? With leverage you don't need vast movements to be making money.
