A correction which was due, but triggered early by Finex panic, perhaps. Either way, up from here.

Not so fast, a correction like this is not resolved within a day. I expect at least a double bottom and perhaps a deeper correction to $610 level or $570. Could take 2 more weeks or longer before we resume the uptrend.

Typically, the market builds a triangle that breaks up. But I believe that mini-rally will become a bit of a bull trap. Wink

You always believe the price will fall or any rally is a bull trap. We are at $679 dollars, Tzupy. You were bearish at 200$ :-)

I hate it when bitcoinity screws up so badly that it can't keep up with the price. I thought Huobi had gone offline until I switched to bitcoinwisdom. As for coinmarketcap, relying on its up to date prices cost me money one time when it was hours out of sync.

That remains to be seen. A strong bounce back up over 700 in the next 24 hours would secure the immediate trend.

Watching :-)

edit: bitfinex charts are bonkers

So it's not the auction and brexit? It was exchange issues?

It's none of those, it's just a normal correction within a bull trend. Anything could have been the trigger for this correction, but in TA terms the trigger for me was when we broke down from the ascending triangle yesterday.

Decentralized assets are so passé. Maybe we should consider an alternative?

Paycoin?  Or wait for JPMCoin?

Currently, you can't do shit on Finex, they are having issues (nice timing  Undecided ).  When they come up again, you can do leverage long with BTC as collateral (just remember that the value of your collateral goes down together with your leverage position in this case).

Thanks for the help. I went ahead and tested with $500. I now have $500 in my "Unused Margin Funding" tab. I tried to do a purchase with that but it says I don't have enough money.

How do I take that $500 and go long on BTC?

Go to the margin trading tab and place an order, it ll automatically take the dollars you reserved first.

BTW: your collateral needs to be in your trading wallet as well.

Got it, had my collateral in another wallet.

Now Bitcoin to $32,000!!!

Good to know though when I bring more bitcoins in. Thanks.

In order to dump coins one must have coins
Phil Potter of Bitfinex last night talking about the outage:

This sounds like a legit network issue. So bear trap.   Grin

Of course we have redundancy ... it just didn't work. Love it Kiss
