Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still over $520 I see. $500 seems like a lock.

Sideways around $530 for a few days maybe, or do we move another leg up?

Then again, $512 doesn't seem like a very deep correction after gaining $100 in less than a week. Was it just a precursor to the real dump?

So if everyone's expecting the price to rise, the market might as well crash  Huh

I think it rather a categorical error to call the posters in such threads as this "everybody". And weren't we lectured previously that everybody was holding in anticipation of a rise, which thus couldn't arise, and we'd be fools not to split before the maddening crowds?

Perhaps he realised his heroic battle to save people from Bitcoin is faltering. He's deep in the Amazon formulating a new approach.

Chinese speculators take advantage of holiday weekend (when no real American money can enter exchanges) to pump bitscoin.

Flippin' burgers since 1163.
[...] we have spreads like 6% between btc-e and finex, 11% between finex and huobi, and 17% between huobi and btc-e.

If anything, these spreads show how broken legacy banking is and the difficulties of global mobility of funds between countries and markets, in terms of feasibility and speed.

Bitcoin is simply light years ahead of problematic and slow legacy banking and it shows in how legacy banking is creating arbitrage opportunities with vast spreads in the (much-faster-moving) btc market.

BTC trading in particular seems to be the "vehicle" of exposing legacy banking for its inadequacies...

I had to read twice what you were saying, but that actually is a really interesting view.
Thanks.

To be honest I think we'll visit 490's again, it is a bit too fast so early

Caught a 492 buy order while asleep like expected
I can't see price gone so low. What exchange do you use?

bitstamp Wink

Didn't notice other exchanges didn't drop as sharp. Maybe we still got a leg down left

yet another updraft with >$10 spread on bearswamp ... things looking a little out-of-shape.

Discontinuous re-valuation to higher levels is not an unlikely outcome in this atmosphere.

Bitstamp continues to bleed and sell cheap bitcoins.

But only if you pay with USD. For EUR they are on par.

Now:

Kraken EUR: EUR 465 ( = USD 517)
Bitfinex USD: USD 524 ( = EUR 471)
Bitstamp USD: USD 505 ( = EUR 455)
Bitstamp EUR: EUR 464 ( = USD 516)

So there's only a difference in the USD market, not in the EUR market.
