I can't believe it, I last looked at this thread ten hours ago and there's been almost no posts since then apart from chart buddy. If it stays at 430 for the rest of the year both this forum and bitcoin are finished. A stable price will make everyone give up on bitcoin due to boredom. Stagnating's not good for bitcoin, it's bad for it.

Rather unlikely.

More likely, the opposite is true - and it's starting to be noticed:

Throughout its lifespan, investors have been quick to criticize Bitcoin for its extreme volatility. [...] But, over the past year, Bitcoin has matured.

Quote
Bitcoin is often criticized for being too volatile. [...] In fact, the volatility of bitcoin price against major currencies such as US Dollar has declined significantly since 2010, according to data provided by the Bitcoin Volatility Index. The rate of volatility has been decreasing at a consistent pace, falling at an average rate of 25% per year, NewsBTC reported.

I'm Embarrassed to be here
Looks like a breakout will happen around the 6th.

The next 24 hours are critical (c)2016.

Break'down' you mean? Longer time frames tell a completely different story. This is where day traders get rekt.

Obama is anti-gun. Smith & Wessen is a gun manufacturer.

People are scrambling to buy guys while they still can.

Ah, OK. I thought Smith & Wesson might have run a chain of trailer parks, in which case the chart made sense too.   Cheesy

We need to all vote for Bernie Sanders to make this happen to the price of Bitcoin:

If we all vote in dysfunctional communists to implode the economy on purpose, the price of Bitcoin rises.  Half the people in this thread are communists (hint: anyone with last name goldstein, goldberger, bergsomething), they will vote for him anyway.  Might as well help pump Bitcoin.

So what's new? It was floating around in the 200s for ages and life continued. BTC cares not for how you're feeling. That's how it rolls.

There is a number of ChartBuddy posts in a row that is an indicator of a huge jump in price. Was it 7 or 12 that happened in a row when it was in the $230s and began the climb?

Stag --> stagnate
Bull --> bullnate
Bear -->  hibernate

Right now, we're in a stag market.
Or something.
Anyway, let's hope the market starts to bullnate again.

Make Bitcoin glow with ENIAC
It looks like the 430$ conspiracy is here to stay. My bitcoin price ticker on the phone is set on 430$ and I can't stand it anymore, it comes and goes regularly and also I can't read what is happening anymore.
The holidays confused me I guess

True, stagning price is good for reliability of btc but I just can't stand it anymore xD

I do not think the price movement deserves to be called "stagnating'. one month ago (dec 7 ) we closed at $395. Since then there have been several closes over $460 and a one day drop from $451 to $417. Simply being around $430 for the last  few days is just "circumstance'.

I think we have gone up since the $250-$300 period a little too fast and a little too high so I expect it to be $350ish in another month. That $80 drop (about 20%) should see the word bear replace the words stag and bull

You mean: bearning?

I like it!

Shorts back over 16k. Long interest 23 million USD.

Looks like retail is shorting again but bitcoin refuses to collapse. More fuel for the next attempt on 500.
