The best amateur indicator (despit beeing here for a long time) is seeing this:

This thread needs to be silent again for a next move up. If too loud, gonna go down and correct.

Bitcoin is antisemitic
FTFY

they could of HAVE gotten a very early ticket to the moon.

buying in the $235's would of HAVE been the thing to do, but i think everyone bought a little at 500+ and 400 and 300 and 158.5!

Euphoria usually breeds a downturn. If I were a trader I'd be selling (actually I am selling but just because someone on localbitcoins wants to buy). I predict a correction over the weekend, but still hanging over $400 which is all good.

I tend not to recommend buying bitcoins to people. If they understand it, they deserve to buy at this low price. If not, they are part of the reason we need Bitcoin in the first place. I told my family to buy some when it was $17 because I wanted them to all share in the benefit but nobody bought.

Most recently I did post on Facebook the fact that I don't usually recommend buying but when the price was $235 I told people who were on the fence that they should buy. The price jumped then fell back below $235 for about a week but then climbed from there. I'm not sure if anyone listened.

nobody bought when i told them about it too

i gave a few 1BTC for xmas one year, worth ~20-30$, and they cashed out from 150 - 700  Cheesy

if willy bot had never existed what would the 2 year price chart look like do you think? would this be the ATH now?

We probably would have been around 250/300$ which is not bad at all. Considering the amount of investments into the Bitcoin ecosystem and the protocol itself Willy just gave us a taste of what is going to be one day.  Wink

yeah, it's taken us a long time to get the taste of willy out of our mouths Sad

I'm still feeling it. But that might be unrelated.

Willy went to Morocco to change gender: now her name is Katia and lives in China. She wakes up and start pumping the volume but just a little.
She said she needs some money.  Grin

i loooove coming here and having people to share the euphoria with.

i know no one irl who gives a flying shit about bitcoin.

i'm all "isn't it great?!?"

one friend has been saying the following phrase to me since january 2013:

"i really need to get some bitcoins"

Funny you're mentioning this... I noticed recently, say, within the last 6 months to a year, that some of the friends who I told about Bitcoin / my position / my trading, and who were either (a) disinterested or (b) extremely critical of it, have recently been a lot more mellow about the entire thing.

Few are enthusiastic (that's fine), but there seems to be much less of the earlier "Why would anyone want a payment system not based on government issued money?" and "It's so volatile, even if the idea is great, it's hopeless", and more a sense of, well, acceptance. "It's there, not sure what to do with it, but I guess it's not going away.", roughly.

I usually give $5-10 worth to anyone I know who seems interested.

Gave a few friends and family members some paper wallets early on as presents, mainly to show, not tell what I was interested in at the moment. Occasionally the conversation goes back to these, but so far, no "Am I a rich yet?" questions. Once that'll happen, I know it's time to get ready for a trade Wink

I've tried to extol the virtues of BTC to anyone who would listen IRL the past few years, these past few months though it seems a lot of those people did actually listen - but very few of them acted.

One did act though, made a one off purchase in April 2015. With a combo of AUD tanking vs USD, plus the recent BTC rally - he's pretty happy at the moment.

There will be no swings, just straight bitcoin appreciation.

I now have a piece of paper taped to the left side of my monitor Tongue
