Especially when you had a 60%+ profit run without margin in a very short time frame.....

True. If your aim is to accumulate fiat currency.
If your aim is to accumulate bitcoins, you want to keep your profits in Bitcoin.

Hmm, we only need to go up $10 per day to hit $1000 by 2016.
If we keep going up at this rate, it'll happen early next week.
And if the rate continues to increase as it has been, it could happen this Saturday.
The correction from that will give us whiplash.

It is stupid to not take profits. We have 90%+ Long... That's not a situation where markets stay stable over time.. But this forum is the wrong place for a rational discussion.
It's not stupid, there are just different perspectives on this topic. Some see it as a thing you can trade online and make money with doing it, some see it as a horribly undervalued asset / long term investment.

So 480 is next, what do we do for 500 though!??!!!
keep buying more and wait for $1000, then sell out for 100% profits. I made that mistake, sold enough to pay for my original investment (Oh boy, everything is gravy now!) only to buy back in at a higher price because I realized that it was better to hold BTC than fiat.
I won't sell at $1000, or even $2000, unless I absolutely have to.

every pullback lasts no longer than an hour it seems. i'm not even worried when they happen!

I agree. $480 is indeed the next target.
That said, when I finally pass out from an excess of Shirak-i-Mazar, I hope to wake up to >CA$600 per coin.
